With the development of social economy and the improvement of medical level, the average life of human continuously increasing, aging population has become increasingly obvious in China, while great changes have taken place in the spectrum of diseases. How to improve the life quality of the elder, how to make the elder view their deaths correctly and how to let the elder spend the rest of their life with dignity and without any regret, have become the focus of widespread attention. By easing the pain of the dying, hospice provides psychological comfort and spiritual support for incurable patients. At the same time, hospice offers bereavement services for families, making them get rid of the sadness of lost and return to normal life as soon as possible. Thus hospice career ensure that the dying and their families achieve the best quality of life.Compared with western countries, the hospice career is in the initial stage in our country, and still faces many problems. These problems are the results of the concept transformation from tradition to modern, which include the ethical issues between traditional filial piety and patient autonomy, the ethical issues between traditional view of death and patient's right to know, the problem between traditional medical morality and the service view of hospice, etc. Because of the severer aging population and the change of disease spectrum, the demand for hospice is gradually increasing in China today, but the hospice career is facing lots of difficulties. In order to promote positive and healthy development of China's hospice care, we can seek for national policy support, widely to raise funds, the expansion of hospice institutions and hospice team, standardized professional training and so on. On the basis, establish local hospice care modes suitable in China.
