Objectives To explore the outcomes of 1470 nm diode laser in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH).Methods This clinical study BPH hospitalized from October 2013 to July 2015 in North China university of science and techology affiliated hospital urology and underwent1470 nm diode laser vaporization.Using 1470 nm diode laser to operate the surgery of laser vaporization of the prostate on 78 patients with BPH through the urethra. Watching the data amelioration including IPSS, QOL, AUA, Qmax, Pdet.Qmax, PVR to assessment patient's surgical outcomes. Results Successful completion of the 78 cases of surgery, surgery time is 38.5 ~ 95.5(59.2 16.7) min, Intraoperative blood loss was 15.4 ~ 50.6( 30.4±10.6) ml, tissue removal rate was 1.09g/min. Intraoperative bleeding completely and no blood transfusion patients. Postoperative bladder irrigation time was(1.2±0.8)h, postoperative time of placing a urinary catheter was(1.2±0.7)d,postoperative discharge time was(1.6±1.2)d, After postoperative urethral duct can be automatic micturition. Compared with preoperative,IPSS, QOL, AUA, Qmax, Pdet.Qmax, PVR improved significantly(P< 0.05), at the time of after 1 months and the last follow-up, Statistical results have no statistically significant difference(P > 0. 05). There are no obvious postoperative complications at the last follow-up.Conclusions 1470 nm diode laser vaporization possesses lower bleeding rate and higher safety factor in the treatment of BPH. Relying on its outstanding ability of hemostasis, less urethral damage and less postoperative recover time is worthy of clinical application.
