Cases Analysis Of The New Ribbon Arch Appliance For Ward And Up-right Molar In Early Stage

Objective: According to the concept of synchronous movement in early stage with the new ribbon arch appliance,using the new ribbon arch appliance to treat a case of forwarding the second molar and a case of erecting the lingual inclination of the molar.To explore the clinical effect and treatment characteristics of forward and erect molar with the new ribbon arch appliance.Part oneMaterials and methods:A case received in our hospital was treated with the new ribbon appliance?in 2014 August.it's Class II Division 1 with a first molar chronic pulpitis.Female patients, 20 years old,convex profile type, upper and lower lip protrusion,upper and lower slight crowding,overbite degree ?, overjet degree ?, the right mandibular molars with a larger cavity. Cephalometric data:ANB 5.1°?Go Gn-SN 26.4°?Go Me-FH 21.0°?U1-SN 120.4°;L1-MP 100.5°. Design:close the upper lip,extract 14,24,34,46,open bite,align teeth,forward the right mandibular second molar, adduct upper anterior teeth,close extraction space,synchronous movement. The left molar was adjusted to Class?, and the right side maintained Class?.Results: After 18 months of treatment patient changed to straight profiles,adduction of the upper and lower lip,normal overbite and overjet, the right mandibular second molar forward smoothly to the first molar space,the right mandibular third molar eruption and adjust to the second molar space, right side maintain Class?,left side Class?,left and right canine Class?.Cephalometric data after treatment:ANB 4.9°?Go Gn-SN 25.1°?Go Me-FH 21.7°?U1-SN 102.8°;L1-MP 100.8°.Conclusion: Using the new ribbon appliance with early traction,for this case,extract first molar, forward the second and third molars were effective and fast.then the second and third molars no obviously loose and absorb its roots.Part twoMaterials and methods:A case received in our hospital was treated with the new ribbon appliance?in 2014 March.it's Class II Division 1 with the right premolar and molars scissors bite. Female patients,22 years old,convex profile type,chin point left side0.5mm,upper moderate crowding,lower severe crowding, overbite degree ?, overjet degree ?,the right premolar and molars scissors bite, lower right and left second premolar severely lingual inclination.Cephalometric data:ANB 6.9°?Go Gn-SN 31.4 °?Go Me-FH 24.3°?U1-SN 112.3°;L1-MP 103.8°.Design:extract 14,24,35,45, wear maxillary plane plate,early relieve the right scissors bite,adduct upper anterior teeth,close extraction space,adjust occlusion.Results: after 22 months of treatment, patients straight profiles, change to normal overbite and overjet, relieve the right scissors bite after 3 months of treatment,recover the right side's function,left and right canine, molar Class?.Cephalometric data after treatment:ANB 6.9°?Go Gn-SN 30.9°?Go Me-FH 24.0°?U1-SN 101.0°;L1-MP 102.5°.Conclusion: Using the new ribbon appliance with early cross bite traction in stainless steel ribbon arch,can reduce maxillary molar growth caused by cross bite traction in Ni Ti wire,it relieve scissors bite quickly and effectively,as soon as possible,recover function of the waste side.
