Different Ratio Of Peony Licorice Pill Effect On Hyperprolactinemia

Objective : To observe the effect of peony licorice bolus of risperidone with different proportions on female schizophrenia patients suffered hyperprolactinemia induced by risperidone. Comparing to the effect of 1:1 and 2:1 with different proportion of peony and licorice on prolactin concentration in female patients with schizophrenia to observe the clinical efficacy and safety of drugs and provide the basis for clinical use of drugs.Methods : 120 cases with Schizophrenia were randomly divided into A group(Risperidone),B group(Peony: licorice 1:1,Risperidone),C group(Peony: licorice 2:1,Risperidone). The change of serum levels of prolactin,estradiol,testosterone,follicle stimulating hormone,luteinizing hormone,progesterone were observed before and after treatment for 4,8 and 12 weeks. Positive and negative symptom scale were used to evaluate the effect of treatment before and after treatment. Adverse drug reactions were evaluated by using the side reaction scale before and after treatment.Results : There were no difference in serum prolactin,estradiol,testosterone,follicle stimulating hormone,luteinizing hormone,progesterone and PANSS score in the three groups before treatment(P>0.05). There were no difference in serum estradiol,testosterone,follicle stimulating hormone,luteinizing hormone,progesterone in the three groups after treatment for 4,8 and 12 weeks(P>0.05). Compared A group with B and C groups,the serum of prolactin levels were significantly decreased(P<0.05). Compared C group with B group,the serum of prolactin levels were significantly decreased(P<0.05). It is suggested that the serum levels of prolactin in female patients with schizophrenia can be reduced by a greater degree than 2:1 that of 1:1. Efficacy:There were no difference in PANSS score in the three groups before and after treatment(P>0.05)?PANSS score were decreased in the three groups were compared with the same group after treatment for 4,8 and 12 weeks(P<0.05). Security aspects:There were no difference in TESS score in the three groups before and after treatment.Conclusion : The peony and licorice pill can obviously decrsesed serum prolactin levels of risperidone,but the ratio of 2:1 to the maximum extent of the serum prolactin levels of the peony and licorice pills.
