Objective: Based on the quantitative evaluation of Chinese massage treatment on infantile anorexia with dysfunction of spleen in transportation, to verify its therapeutic effects and explore its mechanism. Methods: 60 children patients who met the inclusion criteria of anorexia with dysfunction of spleen in transportation were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. Treatment group was treated by Chinese massage therapy. Control group was treated by taking Xiaoerxiaoshi tablets. Symptoms and signs scores were recorded at four visits and before and after treatment. After four weeks, the symptoms, signs and changes in salivary SIgA of two groups before and after treatment were comparatively observed, and clinical efficacy of two groups were comparatively analyzed. Results: 1.The total efficiency and cure rate of treatment group was 96.67% and 40%, and that of control group was 62.07% and 13.79%. There were very significant difference in total efficiency(P<0.01) and significant difference in cure rate(P<0.05) between two groups. 2.In treatment group, the comparison of symptoms, signs and salivary SIgA before and after the treatment had very significant differences(P<0.01). 3.After treatment, there were very significant differences between two groups in terms of total scores of symptoms and signs(P<0.01), while there was significant differences in salivary SIgA, which showed the curative effect of treatment group was superior to that of control group. Conclusion: The optimized scheme of Chinese massage therapy in this study is effective in treating infantile anorexia, easy to operate, and has a remarkable characteristic of traditional Chinese medicine, which provides a original idea for clinical standardized massage treatment on infantile anrexia.
