Purpose: In terms of the study of acupuncture and moxibustion treating irritable bowel syndrome of nearly 30 years modern literature,the thesis summarizes the general regularities and the trend of acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of this disease, analyses the most applied acupoints, meridians and acupuncture treatments so as to provide reference for clinical treatment in treating irritable bowel syndrome.Method: The subject adopts the method of computer retrieval technology, retrieve the source from the three full-text periodical database nearly 30 years, China journal full-text database(CNKI), VIP Chinese Journal Database(VIP), and Wanfang Academic Journal Full-text Database(WF),which are given priorities to keywords, such as "irritable bowel syndrome " or "diarrhea" or "constipation" and "needle", "acupuncture", or "jiu", search and select all the documents included in the standard.Results: 1.The number of literatures which are in accordance with the inclusive criteria increases year by year.2.Irritable bowel syndrome adopts Viscera syndrome differentiation, syndrome of Liver depression and spleen deficiency ?Spleen-kidney yang deficiency?weakness of spleen and stomach?Spleen deficiency and Kidney deficiency are the most types,and syndrome of Liver depression and spleen deficiency ?Spleen-kidney yang deficiency are common in clinical practice.3.Based on the ratio of number and frequency,Stomach Meridian of Foot-Yangming ?Ren Meridian and the Bladder of Foot-Taiyang are used in the acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of irritable bowel syndrome,acupoints is given priority to specific points,Lower He-sea point and Mu-front acupoints most are commonly adopted. Frequency for the top four are Zusanli?Tianshu? Zhongwan?Shangjuxu.4.There are a wide of variety of the diagnostic criteria and therapeutic effect criterion about irritable bowel syndrome.
