Li Zhongzi's Pharmacy Thought Research

Objective:Systematic summary of Li Zhongzi's pharmacy thought,including the imaged thinking,herbal property,channel tropism,lifting the drifting,using taboo,toxicity,processing,identification,clinical medicine,etc,for comprehensive research on the academic thoughts lay a foundation to guide the clinical medication.Methods:By looking up Li Zhongzi' works,such as neijingzhiyao,yizongbidu,shanbuyishengweilun,shanghankuoyao,zhenjiazhengyan,bingjishazhuan,bencaotongxuan,leigongpaozhiyaoxingjie,lizhongyian,etc.the author has collected the documents related to the herbal and pharmacology,standardized the herbal medicines,merged with medicine,And in accordance with the four books,leigongpaozhiyaoxingjie,'yaoxinglun' to shanbuyishengweilun,'bencaozhengyao' to yizongbidu,bencaotongxuan,in the order of year,Li Zhongzi's pharmacy theory,including imaged thinking,medicinal theory,preparation,identification,the toxicity and clinical use,has been systematically cleared up and researched.Results and Conclusion:In Li Zhongzi's all works,more than 500 kinds of herbal medicine had been discussed.Nearly 150 kinds of herbs were in four books together and more than 300 kinds were in two or more books.The style and content of four books although had something in common,but not totally the same.In fact,they had their own characteristics and complemented each other.Influenced by the traditional imaged thinking,Li Zhongzi was good at drawing worthy opinion,focused on the overall grasp of herbs,contrasted the difference and explained and explored the theory of medical herbs.He had come up with a lot of meaningful academic advocates,like "herbs in four gas","after their kind" "fear evil opposite also complementary wonderful",etc.In clinical treatment,he was aware of the importance of spleen and kidney,which he called as " the root of congenital and postnatal life".He noticed the careful gas and caution cold,pay attention to the flexibility and drug contraindications.In herbal collection and processing,he advocated that using authentic ingredients,suitable preparation and cooking to make herbs do their best effect.The summary of pharmacy theory has great significance for the depth and comprehensive study of LI Zhongzi's academic thought.
