Huangdi's Canon of Medicineis theearliest classical works of TCM in China.Almost all of TCM theories of later generations are from Huangdi's Canon of Medicine. This book refers to various subjects of theory and clinic about TCM,records synoptically various basic laws about diseases, offers a solid theoretical basis and practical experience to clinical diagnosis and treatment of disease.Hearing loss,as a common disease in oto-rhino-laryngology of traditional Chinese medicine, was already discussed comprehensively in neijing period.Later generations made some developments with supplementary explainations, but none of them was beyond the scope of neijing.Because of the divergence of syndrome differentiation of TCM about hearing loss from different scholars at present,we done our best to conquer this problem through the following works. The first item,we searched and collected deaf-related original texts in neijing. The second item,we translated the texts into modern Chinese language. At this stage,we quoted research findings of previous translators. The third item,we classified the original texts by the etiology and pathogenesis and treatment in TCM.Meanwhile,we letthe original texts interpreted by each other,so that we could unscramble profoundly the theories of the etiology and pathogenesis and treatment in TCM related to hearing loss. The forth item,we tested theoretical results into clinic treatment in order to ensure our works were valuable.Through the research and analysis of hearing loss in Huangdi's Canon of Medicine we generalize the elementary etiology and pathogenesis and treatment in TCM related to hearing loss. That provides a theoretical basis for traditional Chinese medicine further treatment of hearing loss.what is more, that also lay a solid foundation for typing of syndrome differentiation of deafness related diseases. |
