| Objective:The research purpose is to prove a traditional Chinese medicine composition effective in treating patients with Bronchiectasis disease in acute infection period, through" the Weijing Sanao Tang " treating these patients that characterized by cough, sticky phlegm, Blood-streaked phlegm or slight hemoptysis (≤5ml a day), which mainly observes the cough frequency> sputum quantity, hemoptysis, statistical analysis and clinical evaluation of the results.Methods:The clinical trial design used random, positive drug control, which patients were from the Shenzhen TCM Hospital from March 2012 to March 2014 in the outpatient and ward of Respiratory and the Emergency Department, diagnosed as Bronchiectasis disease in acute infection period.60 cases were randomly divided into the treatment group (the Weijing Sanao Tang group) and the control group (the Levofloxacin Tablets with Mucosolvan Tablets group),30 cases in each one. The treatment group was treated with the Weijing Sanao Tang, day one potion, two times a day for one week; the control group received Levofloxacin Tablets 0.3g qd, and Mucosolvan Tablets 30mg tid, for 10 days.Results:Results showed that the cough improved time was different significantly between the two groups (P<0.05), that the treatment group took 6.13 days, but the control group taking 7.74 days. The time of the phlegm significantly reduced or disappeared in the treatment group was 5.96 days, meanwhile 8.11 days in the control one, which was different significantly between the two groups (P< 0.05). The time of hemoptysis significantly reduced or disappeared in the treatment group was 5.95 days, and 7.19 days in the control group, which was different significantly between the two groups (P<0.05). The two groups’effect of grading of the cough improvemeng time was also significant statistically. Whether the cure rate or the significant efficiency, there were significant difference between the two groups, that the significant efficiency was 66.7% in the treatment group, but 30.0% in the other one.Conclusion:According to the results of this clinical study, the following conclusions have obtained:the Weijing Sanao Tang treating the patients in acute infection period of Bronchiectasis disease is better than that treating by the Levofloxacin Tablets with Mucosolvan Tablets via the overall effect, the time of main symptoms reduced significantly and the time of main signs reduced or disappeared. |
