The Methods Of Eliminating Soft Tissue Swelling And Pain Of Ankle Fracture Focusing On Spleen Before The Surgery

Objectives: The closed ankle joint fractures usually lead to local soft tissue swelling and before the surgery we must eliminate the soft tissue swelling first,then we can operate on the ankle fracture. This research will sufficiently take the methods of combining traditional Chinese medicine focusing on Spleen and western medicine treating the ankle fracture by comparing the traditional western medicine swelling alone,so that we can make the best choice in treating the ankle fracture.Methods: According to the specific method,the selection criteria and exlusion criteria, the data of 39 cases from Hu Bei Chinese medicine hospital between July 2014 and July 2015 with closed ankle fractures were slected and divided into two groups randomly the treatment group and control group. All of the cases meet the conditions of using external fixation or skeletal straction and of hurt limb raised above the level of the heart.The treatment group contains 20 people treated in the combination of Chinese and Western swelling method.The treatment group : Daily intravenous drip into the 20% mannitol once for 3 days and ice compress the place for 5 days and drinking decoction 50 ml every morning and evening for 5 days. The decoction is Shenlingbaizhu powder formula containing ginseng 10g?fuling 10g?roasted Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae 10g? yams 10g?White hyacinth bean 7.5g ?lotus seed 5g?Coix seed 5g?the root of balloonflower 5g?licorice 10 g and so on ?The control group carrys out in the above method except for the decoction and are treated with aescven forte(the ritual of big pharma in Germany production used in the treatment of venous edema effects of botanicals) two tablets daily?By recording the daily states of limb swelling and degree of pain scored by visual analogue scale according to the swelling degree evaluation criteria, making statistics forms and statistic analysis,we can compare the treatment outcome between two groups.Results: During a week of treatment,all 39 cases complete the research smoothly. After the hurt limb stable and timely fixation, the efficacy of treatment group in the degree of swelling is superior to the control group in the third days and fifth days.The efficacy of pain relief of two groups have obvious difference and the treatment group is better. The effect and treatment results of eliminating soft tissue swelling and pain of closed ankle fracture focusing on Spleen before the surgery is better than the control group.Conclusions: 1.The degree of swelling and pain of closed ankle fracture was closely related to the severity of the injury?2. The treatment efficacy of closed ankle swelling and pain relief is better than the control group in early period of treatment from the spleen. 3. The time of swelling before the surgery is closely related to the degree of injuries.
