Observation On Therapeutic Effect Of " Acupotomy Of Four Parts Of The Capsule Wall " Therapy In The Intervention Of Hip Disease

Purpose:The purpose of the study was to investigation the efficacy of acupotomy of four parts of the capsule wall therapy on hip disease such as :congenital hip dysplasia,non traumatic necrosis of femoral head,femoral acetabular impingement syndrome,osteoarthritis of the hip joint and so on.Methods: 48 cases(60hips) with hip osteoarthritis which were conformed to our standard from May 2014 to January 2016 in the outpatient department of Wuhan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital were treated and followed up. In these cases,we had 9male cases,39 female cases; 36 cases of unilateral hip, 12 cases of bilateral hip; the average age was 41.98 ± 11.42; the average course of disease was 12.08±9.89 months. This group of patients were given acupotomy of four parts of the capsule wall therapy to loose the capsule, and were followed up. Clinical information before treatment ?two week and three months after treatment were collected and Harris Score as well as Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) were employed to assess the curative effects. Statistical analysis of the results by SPSS19.0 software. The measurement data were expressed as mean ± the standard deviation( x ±s),all the data have used T test and count data have used chi square test, to determine there clinical curative effect.Results: After the acupotomy of four parts of the capsule wall therapy, the VAS score and the Harris Hip Score were better than that before treatment. The VAS, at first,the number was 6.82±1.14,but the scores at two time point were 3.62±1.33 and 3.80±1.35. As for Harris score were 63.17 ± 5.64 before treatment, while it became 75.65±4.76?76.46±4.89,when we followed-up after two weeks and three months of treatment. Statistically, the scores of the second month after treatment were significantly better than that before therapy(*P<0.01,**P<0.01,?P<0.01,??P<0.01)?Conclusion:Application of the "the cupotomy of four parts of the capsule wall therapy" in the treatment of hip osteoarthritis, can effectively improve the patients with hip function and pain degree. This method is simple, has clinical curative effect and application value, provides a new idea for the treatment of hip arthritis. Familiar with the anatomical hip, right approach, mastering the acupotomolgy operation is the key of the treatment.
