Study Of The Midface Symmetry Of The Han Nationnality Adults In Liaoning Based On CT Three-dimensional Reconstruction By EDAM

ObjectiveThrough comparing the symmetry in mid face of adult male in Liaoning province,find the gender difference,provide basis and reference data for oral surgery,forensic medicine and anthropology.MethodsRandomly select 60 normal adults,then shoot CT and make three-dimensional reconstruction.Twenty-eight landmarks were identified on the bone of mid face by VG Studio 2.2 MAX software.Through Win EDMA 1.0.1 software to compare the differences on the bone of mid face of one side.The non parameter bootstrap test was used in statistical analysis.Results1.As found in EDMA,there were significant differences between the left and right sides of the mid face in adults in Liaoning.As for the male,the non parameter bootstrap test showed t=1.432,P=0.001.For the female,the non parameter bootstrap test showed t=1.396,P=0.001.2.It was found in EDMA,there are significant differences between the female and the male of the mid faces in Liaoning.The non parameter bootstrap test shows t=1.450,P=0.001.ConclusionsThe mid face on male and female adults in Liaoning is observably asymmetry.When we do Cosmetic surgery or craniofacial reconstruction the characteristics should be taken into consideration.
