The Academic Ideas And Clinical Experiences Of Prof. He And The Clinical Research Of He Jia Wei Ding Chuan Decoction In The Treatment Of AECOPD

Professor Huanrong He is an inheritor of Wu's Medical School and an expert of traditional Chinese medicine on pneumology department. This paper studied the clinical experiences, clinical effects and academic theories systematically on the He Jia Wei Ding Chuan Decoction being used to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease with acute exacerbation(AECOPD). We attempted to carry out a systematic discussion of the therapeutic effect and mechanism of action of He Jia Wei Ding Chuan Decoction on AECOPD from the theory and clinic.Purpose:1. The clinical experiences and academic ideas of Prof. He would be summarized and sorted.2. With the clinical research of Prof. He's treatment on AECOPD, and contrast with only western medicine treatment. The superiority of Chinese medicine would be reflected.3. To carry out the survey on quality of life of the patients with AECOPD after treating. And the effect of He Jia Wei Ding Chuan Decoction on AECOPD would be compared with the only western medicine Chinese and western medicines group.Method:We collected 84 cases which measured up the clinical diagnosis on AECOPD all. To divide the patients into Chinese and western medicines group (44 cases) and only western medicines group (40 cases) randomly. The only western medicines group were treated using routine western medicines. The Chinese and western medicines group were treated with the same western medicines and the He Jia Wei Ding Chuan Decoction. As one week for a course of treatment, we observed 3 courses. The clinical symptoms, lung function and quality of life were observed. The levels of blood PCT, CRP, T cell subsets, IL-13, IL-4, IFN-? were assessed.Result:The improvment of AECOPD clinical symptoms of the Chinese and western medicines group was better than the only western medicine group significantly (P<0.05). The lung function of the two groups patients were improved after treating significantly, compared to before treatment (P<0.01) with little difference between the two groups (P>0.05)The blood PCT, CRP levels of the patients were significantly decreased after treating (P<0.01) and the decrease of PCT was significantly enhanced in the Chinese and western medicines group compare to the only western medicines group. Medicin treatment significantly improved the blood CD4+and CD8+ while the CD4+ in the Chinese and western medicines group increased more than the only western medicins group (P<0.05). The blood IL-13?IL-4? IFN-y levels were all decreased following medicins treatment (P<0.01 or P<0.05). And the Chinese and western medicines group ameliorated more than the only western medicins group (P<0.05)Conclusion:These results indicated that He Jia Wei Ding Chuan Decoction could ameliorate AECOPD clinical symptoms, improve the body immunity, and relieve the airway inflammation of AECOPD.
