[Aim]:In the present study,we aim to investigate job stress of ward nurse come from top three hospital in Chongqing. We determined main source of job pressure and employed it as intervention targets.By using modern information technology,we established intelligent nursing information system.Combined with forward intervention pattern,we devote to block and relieve the development of job stress come from nurse and make nursing team become more health and stable.[Method]620 ward nurses come from 16 departments of three A hospital in Chongqing were included in our study. We employed intelligent nursing information system as intervention measure and two questionnaire, that is General Condition Questionnaire and Chinese nurse job stress questionnaire,as research tool.SPSS 19.0 was used for statistical analysis. The difference were analysed using descriptive statistics,t test and Chi-squared test.[Result]1.The first stageBefore intervention,620 ward nurses come from 16 departments of three A hospital in Chongqing were included in our study. We found 5 factors of job stress and ranged it with descending order according to their term scores: “workload and time allocation”(2.83±0.31),“patient care”(2.37±0.22),“nursing work”(2.28±0.39),“work environment and resource”(1.83±0.08),“manage and interpersonal relationship”(1.82±0.24).There have no difference of job stress level between experimental group and control group(p > 0.05).The term ranged top three in “workload and time allocation” are “heavy workload ”,“worry about accident in work” and “useless written work”.Furthermore, the term ranged top four in “heavy workload” are “therapy”,“monitoring vital signs”,“nursing document” and “health education”.Therefore,we choose these four terms as main intervention target. Our intelligent nursing information system are designed and established based on above survey results. This system include four parts: intelligent efficient check, accurate vital sign input,real-time documents recording and multifunction paramedical education. The system can intelligently help nurse and patients ' families.2.The second stageBefore intervention, there have no difference of job stress level between experimental group and control group(p > 0.05).After intervention,we observed 557 nurses which have statistic difference between two groups in “exercise ”(p = 0.242),“fall asleep”(P=0.0014)and “sleep quality”(P=0.0098).The term ranged in descending order according to term scores are “nursing work”(2.50±0.42),“workload and time allocation”(2.49±0.30),“patient care”(2.24±0.23)and “work environment and resource”(1.77±0.08).There have clearly significance between experimental groups and control groups in these five terms. Moreover, the term ranged top three in “nursing work” are “low social status of nurse”,“shift work often” and “little promotion prospects”.3.Compare results come from two stages:We demonstrated that there have significant difference between two groups in “exercise”(P=0.0429),“fall asleep”(P=0.0418)and “sleep quality”(P=0.0152).The mean scores of job stress in first stage are 2.23±0.42 while in second stage are 2.15±0.39,both of them have obviously statistical difference.[conclusion]1.The job stress of ward nurses come from three A hospital in Chongqing is medium level,it is often associated with “workload and time allocation” and the most significant effect come from “heavy workload”.2.The heavy workload of clinical care are concentrated on four parts, that is “therapy”,“vital signs monitoring”,“nursing document” and “health education”.The four parts served as intervention targets in our study,3.Using moderninformation technology and establishing intelligent nursing information system, combined with forward intervention pattern, our study could effectively relieve job stress of nurse.
