Objectives:Internal quality control (IQC) can help to find the bias of every link of the test and it is a significant step to insure the acurracy of the result. The blood transfusion compatibility tests mainly include ABO and Rh blood grouping, irregular antibodies screening and cross matching. In this study, an easy to use and accessable quality control was prepared an evaluated.Methods:Extra reagents such as creatinine, trehalose, vitamin E were added to the existing erythrocyte preserve fluid formula to extend the preservation time of the red blood cells in the solution which can improve the stability and sensitivity of the erythrocyte in the preservation process. Plasma and erythrocyte quality control were prepared. Appearance observation, bacterial cultivation were processed along with the anlysis of the IQC repeatabilty and stability. The aplication of this IQC was analysed in various conditons according to the methods, reagents, materials and results of this study.Results:1. The expiration date of the erythrocyte in the preservative solution has been extended to 49 days with stable property. The antigen A and B has a stable reaction score of 12; the free hemoglobin came into level 0 on the 49th day:FHb<500mg/L, no hemolysis; only 50% erythrocytes changed their morphology on the 49th day, which is better than the 80% of group CPDA and MAP.2. The CVs of within batch repeatability of IQC were all less than 10%,indicating the IQC had a good repeatability; the IQC also showed good stability for there was no statistical significance(P>0.05) between batch and the test result showed no variation in various preservation time. The IQC showed similar results in various conditions and there was no statistical significance, indicating that the IQC is stable and can be widely used in different labs.Conclution:A new accessable internal quality control was developed and an easy, convenient and practical QC module was aslo establish as well as the QC rule.
