Research On Information Behavior Based On Medical Information User Psychology

Objective: The paper uses qualitative and quantitative methods to understand medical students and clinicians' psychological cognition, information acquisition, information ability and utilization of library, to explore the correlation between user's psychology and behavior, and puts forward measures that how to improve the behavior of medical information users.Methods: In order to sum up relevant experience, and lay the theoretical foundation,the paper combines the theoretical and practical research on the psychology and behavior of medical information users at home and abroad by using literature research method. The questionnaire survey and statistical analysis were used to investigatet medical students and clinicians' psychological cognition, information acquisition, information ability and utilization of library.The paper puts forward some measures to improve the behavior of medical information users,combing with relevant results.Consequence:(1) cognitive domain: medical students in 36% chose not to know whether their information is scarce, 29% of clinicians chose not to know whether their information is scarce.The main way to obtain information, clinicians choose consultation and case discussion were largest proportion,this is 39%, in participating in meeting, 23% of clinicians almost never participated in the meeting, 39% participated in one to five times.(2) information capacity:72% of medical students choose two or more than two retrieval methods to obtain information;The influence of gender on information screening, information evaluation and information utilization ability of medical students was statistically significant; medical students have the higher grade meanwhile have the higher capacity in information inquiry,information screening and information absorption.The older clinicians are, the ability of network knowledge,computer skills and information retrieval is smaller.(3)information barriers: The reasons that influence database retrieval results, 48% of the students chose not to understand the basic content of the database, 4% choose the foreign language level is not high. When clinicians face retrieval difficulties, under the age of 30 doctors choose on their own, accounted for 63.80%; In the retrieval difficulty, college degree doctor select to solve depended on themselves, accounted for 35.29%, undergraduate 57.69%, master 41.55%, doctor and above 66.67%.(4) library use: medical students will often enter the school library website to learn information,to use the library's Reader,but there are few students use Wanfang, VIP and CNKI, the use of foreign language database(Pubmed, EBSCO) is scanty.The highest utilization rate of Clinicians is science and Technology Novelty Search, 42%, the second is interlibrary loan, 26%. Conclusion:(1) medical students and clinicians lack of information consciousness and cognitive ability. Medical students information value of knowledge is not enough, too much emphasis on entertainment and excessive reliance on the information network so as to ignore professional knowledge learning and exchange of students and teachers, and clinicians have low passion on information, and the way to gain information is single.(2) medical students in the information search process pay more attention to the information of comprehensive, but to obtain accurate information capacity is low; medical students on their query to the information analysis, evaluation and screening capacity is low, and medical students to query the utility of the information is too strong, and sometimes it is just to cope with the teachers and examinations, and cannot accomplish knowledge mastery. Clinicians' awareness of the importance of information ability is not enough, and the information knowledge can not meet the needs of scientific research, clinical diagnosis and treatment.(3)At the aspect in obstacle information solution, medical students will take corresponding measures to solve the problem when they have difficulty to accessing the information, and their enthusiasm is high, at the same time exist the problem that skill and understanding for databases and database retrieval is not enough, and when the query to the information can not be used, medical students choose give up higher proportion, there are mainly three kinds of solution for the information difficulties encountered by clinicians, is to solve their own, to problem solving and commissioned by the information service organization to solve, which in information analysis, information tracking, choice of doctors themselves to solve take up the lowest proportion and the doctor of information service institutions accept degree is not enough.(4) Medical students to the library mainly to borrow books, and the professional literature to read less, it means their awareness is not enough in improving their ability to get effective information. Most clinicians not enough to understand the information push service; the service for the doctors hope from the library is set and the training data of database, and it also reflects the clinicians has low information awareness from the side.
