Study Of Professor Huang Liping's Academic Thought And Clinical Experience On Treating Menopathy

ObjectiveProfessor Huang Liping is one of the fifth national honorable old TCM practitioner,she is specializes in the TCM treatment of gynecological diseases.She has her own unique academic thought and clinical experience on treating menopathy,which would be of great help to us TCM learners.This paper intends to collect and analyze the medical reords of Professor Huang Liping treating menopathy,to summarize her most used prescriptions and herbs,so to grasp her academic thought.We also run a clinic trial on Lipingtiaojing decoction treating menopathy to evaluate the safety and efficacy of this recipe and to testify her academic theory and experience by scientific evidence,so to promote thisclinical application,not only for the benefit of the majority of female patients,but also for scholars of Chinese medicine.MethodsFirstly,we summarized Professor Huang Liping's unique academic thought and clinical experience on treating menopathy by sorting out the daily clinical records;then,we run a clinical study on Lipingtiaojing decoction treating liver stasis type of menopathy.We enrolled 80 patients,all patients involved were from the department of TCM of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University during 2015-01 to 2016-01.All patients were treated with Lipingtiaojing decoction(Bupleurum 10g,angelica 15g,white peony root 15g,turmeric 10g,Zeeland 15g,herb 10g,Dodder 30g,licorice 6g.Motherwort,Cyperus,wolfberry fruit,Rehmannia,habitat,Citrus aurantium,Cistanche,Epimedium and so forth were added when necessary.1 dose per day.).The menstrual cycle menstrual flow,color,quality,duration and associated symptoms,tongue and pulse,and some other measurements were observed before and after the treatment.The treatments were continued for 3 consecutive menstrual cycles.Results1.Professor Huang Ping focus on combining disease and syndrome when treating menopathy,she admires the classic formulas and highlights the overall TCM Syndrome ideas.She proposed that menopathy must be treated from the aspect of blood,liver,spleen and kidney,and focus on the liver.Stagnation of liver qi and blood stasis is the key pathogenesis of menopathy,menopathy should be treated mainly with the method of dispersing stagnated liver qi for relieving qi stagnation and nouorishing blood and liver.2.Clinical Study Results:1.In this study,80 patients met the inclusion criteria.Among them,69 cases completed the treatment and follow-up,11 cases were fell out(9 cases failed to adhere to the medication exit,2 cases were pregnant.2.Among the 69 subjects,18 cases were cured,25 cases were markedly relieved,14 cases were relived,12 cases were not relived,and the total effective rate was 82.61%.3 Lipingtiaojing decoction improved patients' score of menstruation(P<0.05),the difference was statistically significant.4.Lipingtiaojing decoction improved patients' TCM syndrome(abdominal pain,breast tenderness,low appetite,irritability,sigh,etc.),P<0.05),the difference was statistically significant;no obvious changes were found on pulse string symptoms(P>0.05),the difference was not statistically significant.Conclusion1.Lipingtiaojing decoction has significant clinical effects on treating menopathy.2.The sduty of Lipingtiaojing decoction treating menopathy provides evidence for the application of Professor Huang Liping's academic thought and clinical experience on treating menopathy from the aspect of liver 3.Professor Huang Liping's unique academic thought and clinical experience on treating menopathy,as well as her most used prescriptions and herbs and formulas,is worth further studying and promoting.
