Comparative Study Of Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Lobectomy And Thoracotomy For Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

Objective: Comparative study of video-assisted thoracoscopic lobectomy and thoracotomy for non-small cell lung cancer,to investigate the application value of video-assisted thoracoscopic lobectomy for non-smallcell lung cancer.Methods: Clinical data of lung cancer patients which underwent the surgical treatment was retrospectively analyzed from July 2013 to December 2015 in The second people's hospital of Wuhu,40 cases which underwent completely video-assisted thoracoscopic lobectomy for group A and 40 cases which underwent conventional thoracotomy for group B.Operation time,intraoperative blood loss,the number of lymph node,postoperative chest tubetime,postoperative hospitalization time,complications were compared.Results: No operative morality occurred in either group.There were statistical significances between the group A and the group B in operation time(210.4 ±41.2min,164.3 ± 31.6min,p<0.05),intraoperative blood loss(93.3 ± 21.9m1,150.7 ± 24.8ml,p<0.05).The retain time of thoracic tube and postoperative hospitalization time were significantly shorter in the group A(5.7 ± 1.9d,7.1± 1.5d,p <0.05),(7.4 ± 2.1d,11.2 ± 1.3d,p<0.05).The total complications in the group A were lower than the group B(p=0.045).However,there were no statistical significance between two groups in the number of lymph node(12.8 ± 2.0,13.5± 3.1,p=0.261).Conclusion: Video-assisted thoracoscopic lobectomy could accomplish the same efficacy in treatment for lung cancer cases.It is a safe and effective surgical procedure with minimal invasiveness.Because of rapid rehabilitation of patients,it is worth spreading.
