Objective: With the progress of society and the improvement of medical level, sepsis has become one of the emergencies in intensive medicine.Sepsis is a systemic inflammatory response due to infection,it is easy to cause MODS(multiple organ dysfunction syndromes)and MOF(multiple organ failure). When septic shock,it often accompanied by the release of catecholamine which in a large number and ?-adrenergic blockade can inhibit the super excitation of sympathetic in the same time slowdown the heart rate. However,in many clinical experiments, the results of ?-adrenergic blockade's observational index are different and conflict in many researches. Therefore, this study will give a Meta analysis of published articles to research the clinical effect of ?-adrenergic blockade's clinical application in sepsis patients. Methods: Research domestic literature through computer, search website, database CNKI(1980 to 2016.1),Wanfang Data knowledge platform(1950 to2016.1)and foreign literature website PubMed(1966 to 2016.1),EMBASE(1980 to 2016.1),CBM(1978 to 2016.1)database.Research with the key words and collect the trials of ?-adrenergic blockade's clinical application in Sepsis patients, make a standard of intake and exclude of the literature and evaluate the intake data.To statistical analysis by RevMan5.3 software and discuss the results. Results: Through screening, there are 11 experiments be intake that compared ?-adrenergic blockade with blank control group in sepsis patients' treatment.1 ? According to the results of meta analysis: Compared with the blank control group,?-adrenergic blockade could reduce the death rate of sepsis patients [95% CI(0.69 to 0.89),P = 0.0001),slowing down the heart rate of the patients [95% CI(-27.50,-20.01),P < 0.00001],reduce cardiac index [95% CI(-1.31,0.78),P < 0.000 01].The differences are significant in statistics.2?The analyze results of stroke volume,CVP,MAP and Lac,P?0.05,the differences are not significant in statistics.Conclusions:1 Through the analysis of the data, the current results show that?-adrenergic blockade cannot increase the stroke volume of the sepsis patients. It could reduce cardiac index(CI)by slowing down the heart rate(HR)to reduce the burden on the heart and it is effective on reducing the death rate of sepsis patients.2 Due to the limited of the data in various index, this research is not comprehensive and look forward to some compared experiments held by large-multicenter unit organization to verify this conclusion.
