Development And Clinical Empirical Research On The Questionnaire For Evaluting Statues And Affecting Factors Of Nursing Workload

Objective The purpose of this paper was to develop the questionnaire for evaluting status and affecting factors of nursing workload and test its reliability and validity and to provide an effective tools to evaluate the related conditions on nursing workload.Through investigate the status quo and connecting with the expectations of nurse,which can provide the scientific basis for nursing workload of subsequent research and related corrective measures.Methods Literature reading,dialectical analysis,brainstorming and semi-structured interviews were performed to identify items pool of the questionnaire.Two rounds of Delphi method with 18 experts were performed to a predict questionnaire;The questionnaire was distributed to 370 nurses to carry on the project analysis and test its reliability and validity."Boundary value method" was used in Delphi method stage;item analysis,exploratory factor analysis,content validity,correlation analysis,internal consistency check,split-half coefficient test and retest reliability was used in preliminary investigation stage.The questionnaire were distributed to 737 nurses who were selected by convenience sampling.We used descriptive analysis,nonparametric wilcoxon test,Spearman correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to test the status quo.Results A 57-item questionnaire was originally developed and 50 of them were left after Delphi method,item analysis and exploratory factor analysis,30 items remined at last.In two rounds of Delphi method,the rates of questionnaire retrieve were 100% and 90% respectively,the authoritative coefficients were0.869 and 0.853 respectively,the coordination coefficients were 0.218 and0.570 respectively,and Chi-square test was statistically significant(P<0.05).Five factors were extracted with cumulative contribution rate of 60.389% in exploratory factor analysis,the content validity was 0.855,The Cronbach's ?coefficient was 0.879,the split-half reliability was 0.924 and the retest reliability was 0.821.The median of questionnaire for evaluting statues and affecting factors of nursing workload was 3.47.The dimension of the highest score was the department factor and the median was 4.20.It was statistically significant between different hospital's level,age,working age,marriage status,health status,title lever,published articles and consciously work conditions with the mean score,P<0.05.By stepwise regression analysis,health status,consciously work conditions,working age and hospital level is the main factors affecting the status quo.Correlation analysis showed that the score of questionnaire for evaluting statues and affecting factors of nursing workload correlated with nursing staff's expectations for the workload evaluation,P<0.05.Conclusions The questionnaire has the high authority and is proved to be high reliability and stability,it can be used to assess status and affecting factors of nursing workload.The statues and affecting factors of nursing workload is above average level.Health status,consciously work conditions,working age and hospital level is the main factors affecting the status quo.In view of these influencing factors and nursing staff's expectations for nursing workload evaluation,we should put forward relevant corrective actions.
