Background Measles is an acute respiratory infectious diseases caused by the measles virus, spread extremely easily. It's severely harmful to people's health especially for children. Measles used to be one of common infectious diseases and frequent infectious diseases in Anhui province. Since the founding of the reported incidence is up to 1062.5615/10 in Anhui province. After the widespread use of measles vaccine, measles morbidity and mortality is reduced greatly. Because of the single serotype and stable antigencity, people can obtain lasting immunity after infection. People is the only host. No human chronic measles virus carrying state, So after the global polio eradication, WHO listed measles as the next infection to be eliminated. China's ministry of health has issued ?the action plan for the elimination of measles from 2006 to 2012? and ?the action plan for the elimination of measles from 2010 to 2012?. Through vaccination and monitoring of comprehensive prevention and control measures, the measles prevention and control work has achieved obvious results in our country, but failed to achieve the aim of eliminating measles in 2012. To explore the reason that measles cannot be eliminated as scheduled, This paper discusses the age distribution and Causes of measles in Anhui province, to provide theoretical basis for measles control. Objective To Analysis the age distribution of measles cases in Anhui province in 2014. Discusses the reasons of cases of all age groups. Provide the scientific basis for measles control. Methods Case epidemiological survey and telephone survey methods was used to collect information about measles cases in Anhui province in 2014. Using the SPSS13.0 to compile statistics and analysis. There was statistical significance(P<0.05).Results The cases of measles was 1005 in 2014 in Anhui Province, including the non-immunization crowd disease accounted for 59.60% of the total number of cases. Cases are mainly concentrated in children under 18 months and 20 to 35 years old crowd, in which < 8 months age 24.78%, 8 ~ 17 months age 29.05%, 20 ~35 years aged 25.07%. Cases under 8 months-old increased with the increase of age. The incidence of infants born in the epidemic season was less than that of the non-epidemic season, with nfants born in February, at least for 3 cases, most infants born in October for 45 cases. There are 8 cases that mother and child attack at the same time, including 6 cases of transmission from the mother to child, 2 cases from the child to mother. The sex ratio is 1.56 :1, with small age male are more than female(?2=55.51,P=0.000), with elder age male are less than female(?2=5.07,P=0.024). Most cases in north of Anhui province are small age group, give priority to with big age group in the south. 292 cases of 8 ~ 17 months old, with 204 cases have not been vaccinated, accounted for 69.86%, 66 cases received measles vaccine, accounted for 22.60%, 22 cases of vaccination history is unknown. 71.15% of measles cases under 18 months has been to hospital before the onset of 7 ~ 21 days. Conclusion Relying on the measles vaccine inoculation can't achieve the goal of measles elimination. Most of the children have measles virus antibody when born. The immune prevention and interrupt transmission should be taken to control measles level. To achieve the purpose of the elimination of measles at an early date.
