Review Of Causes Of Maternal Mortality And Strategies

Maternal mortality ratio is an effective indicator on reflecting the economic level,health and cultural situation of a country.Through a series of measures,the maternal mortality ratio of our country have decreased significantly compared with that of previous period.However,the reasons lead to the death of the pregnant woman are complicated and problematic today;more and more pregnancy complications have occurred.There are four common fatal diseases: postpartum hemorrhage,amniotic fluid embolism,pregnancy-induced hypertension and pregnancy with heart disease.Establishing a rapid respond team and launching a multidisciplinary teamwork are necessary to cure the critical maternal patients.Building a maternal condition assessment system and developing the maternal morbility reviewing work are important way to comeback the challenge of maternal mortality.This article reviews the successful approaches,the situation of maternal mortality and the future strategies.
