Objective: The purpose of the study was to explore the correlation of growth stimulating express gene 2(ST2)and CK,CKMB,MYO,cTnI in patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI)to discuss the relationship between ST2 and AMI and to study the diagnostic value of ST2 in AMI.Methods: 50 cases of inpatients admitted to the Fifth Department of the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University from September 2015 to February 2016 were chosen into the study, among whom,35 cases diagnosed with acute myocardial infarction were regarded as the experimental group,15 cases without acute myocardial infarction were regarded as the control group.Growth stimulating express gene 2(ST2),creatinekinase(CK),creatine kinase isoenzyme(CKMB),myohemoglobin(MYO)and cardiac troponin I(cTnI)were detected and compared between the two groups. And their correlation was analyzed. The diagnostic value of ST2 in AMI was analyzed by ROC curve. Results: The levels of serum ST2 in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Spearman correlation analysis showed that the levels of serum ST2 in patients with AMI were correlated with CK(r=0.698,P<0.01),CKMB(r=0.675,P<0.01),MYO(r=0.551,P<0.01),and cTnI(r=0.593,P<0.01).ROC curve showed that the area under concentration curve(AUC)of ST2,CK,CKMB,MYO and cTnI were 0.925,1.000,1.000,1.000 and 1.000 respectively. The sensitivity of ST2,CK,CKMB,cTnI and MYO were 85.7%,100%,100%,100% and 100% respectively when the optimal threshold of them was at 42.815pg/ml,221.670U/L,38.500U/L,2.555ng/ml,and 75.450ng/ml respectively. Conclusions: ST2 has some relation with CK,CKMB,MYO,and cTnI.The diagnostic value of ST2 in AMI is less than that of CK,CKMB,MYO and cTnI.ST2 can not be used as a marker of myocardial injury.
