Investigation And Cause Analysis Of Drug Shortage In Anhui General Hospital

Objective:This study aims to explore and analyze the current situation and reasons of drug shortage in Anhui province's general hospital and pharmaceutical circulation enterprises through investigation and analysis.Method:take stratified random sampling method, selected in Anhui Province Wangna?Wangzhong?Wangbei 5 tertiary hospitals, three listed pharmaceutical circulation enterprises as the object of this investigation. Through the collection of hospital information management system (HIS) data, select the circulation system and hormone drugs in 2008 and 2013, the amount of drug sales, drug use, the use of (DDDs) to sort out the shortage of drugs; design and application of the shortage of drugs in Anhui Province, the investigation questionnaire, the management of the hospital and drug distribution enterprises and the grassroots staff to carry out on-site survey. EPidata data entry, SPSS analysis data, using descriptive analysis, testing and other analysis methods for statistical analysis.Results:the frequency of drug use (DDDs)= annual sales volume of /DDD. The greater the DDDs, the higher the frequency of the drug use, the clinical choice of the drug, the greater the tendency of the drug, the smaller the DDDs, the clinical drug selection bias is small. From 2008 and 2013, Anhui, each hospital in the circulatory system and hormone drugs sales volume and DDDs sorting result and the hospital drug average table view, Anhui Province five tertiary hospitals of circulatory system and hormones drug shortage situation is basically the same, compared with 2008,2013 drug shortage phenomenon is more common, as follows:circulation system of drug varieties in 2013, the total amount of sales and total DDDs showed a decreasing trend, there are nine kinds of drug sales to zero.15 of the 9 shortages are essential drugs. The total amount of hormone drugs in 2013 sales and total DDDs also showed a decrease trend, there are 6 varieties of drug sales is zero. In addition to the film and the other is the national essential drugs, the price of the circulation system, the price is low, there are 7 kinds of drugs not more than 2 yuan/branch, the tablet is also cheap. Hormone drug megestrol acetate tablets price was the highest, and benzoate estradiol needle minimum; but two drugs appear shortage phenomenon. It can be explained that the low price of drugs is one of the reasons leading to the shortage of drugs, but there is also a shortage of high drug price. From various hospitals of the circulatory system and the use of hormone drugs, there are different levels of drug shortage phenomenon. The study of three drug circulation enterprises in Hefei, Anqing and Chizhou was carried out. From the shortage of drug dosage form, a shortage of time and whether the national essential drugs three levels are investigated. The results indicated that the distribution of dosage form in most as injections. A few are oral preparation or eye ointment; and the shortage time or occasional few months; and to the national essential drugs. According to the survey results, there is a shortage of 312 kinds of drugs,50.96% of which belong to the national essential drug list. According to the results of field survey of pharmaceutical enterprises, the total number of 3 large pharmaceutical distribution companies in our province has 85 kinds.Conclusion:From the comprehensive view of the general hospital and the pharmaceutical enterprise, the shortage of medicine is widespread. Circulation system drugs accounted for 12.02%, the hormone drugs accounted for about 23.30%. The results show that the drug shortage may have the following reasons. First, the main factor is the low price of drugs; second, the impact of national pharmaceutical policy is also one of the important reasons.
