Objective: AIM To compare the clinical efficacy and the adverse reactions between selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors include sertraline, fluoxetine, paroxetine, citalopram, fluvoxamine and escitalopram in treatment of senile patients with depression in china.Methods: All about controlled study comparing sertraline, fluoxetine, paroxetine, citalopram, fluvoxamine, escitalopram intreatment of senile patients with depression retrieved from CBA,VIP,CNKI, WANFANG full-text Database and the time from 1994 to 2013 in china.Then meta analysis was performed by RevMan 5.0.Results: There was no Significant Difference on clinical efficacy between sertraline, fluoxetine, paroxetine, citalopram, fluvoxamine, escitalopram(P>0.05).The fluoxetine has higher incidence rates than that of other five SSRIs.Conclusion: Sertraline, fluoxetine, paroxetine, citalopram, fluvoxamine, escitalopram are effective antidepressants of senile patients in china with similar efficacy. Citalopram and escitalopram is more suitable for the treatment of senile depression patients in our country.
