Objective:To evaluate the value of (1,3)-?-D-glucan(G test) in clinical application of invasive pulmonary fungal infection (IPFI) in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD). Methods:The G test levels in 108 high-risk of IPFI patients with COPD were measured.Sent qualified sputum for fungal smear and culture at the same time. The (1,3)-?-D-glucan concentrations of fungal infection and non-fungal infection group were compared, compared the sensitivity, specitivity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value.ResuIts:The sensitivity, specitivity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value of G test were 87.1%,89.6%,77.1%,94.5%,respectively,with 20 pg/ml as critical value. Conclusion:The detection of (1,3)-?-D-glucan might be faster and with higher positive rate than traditional method, and could be used for the early diagnosis of IPFI,provide evidence of therapy in the mean time.
