In bee farming, the problem of counting the number of bees is usually met.Scientifically counting the number of bees entering and exiting in the beehive, and estimating the attendance rate of the bees can provide a basis for the management of beekeepers and a great deal convenient. The attendance of honeybees mainly refers to the number of worker bees collecting pollen in the bee colony. In actual production practice, the number of bees’ attendance can be controlled through the implementation of certain methods. Therefore,it is necessary to explore the relationship between the bee’s attendance and its influencing factors.Bee attendance is affected by a variety of factors, such as ambient temperature, air pressure, etc. Therefore,it is necessary to record the ambient temperature and air pressure at the same time in real time while counting the number of bees attending. This paper designs a multi-channel honeybee attendance automatic monitoring system aiming at the defects of the existing bee attendance counter. The system not only can automatically count the data of bees entering and exiting, but also can monitor the influence of ambient temperature and pressure on the bee’s attendance in real time.Firstly, this paper introduced the research significance and background, the current research on photoelectric sensors, the source and experimental content of the subject, then the overall scheme of the system is determined.Secondly, the whole system is designed in modules. The system is composed of multi-channel photoelectric detection module, data processing and storage module, data exchange module, data acquisition and processing module,short-range wireless transmission module, power supply module, temperature and pressure collection module. The system includes analysis and circuit design of the above modules, and the corresponding hardware design. Then, temperature sensors and pressure sensors are used to monitor the effect of ambient temperature and pressure on the bee’s attendance. Finally, field experiments were conducted. The data collected during the experiment was plotted as a curve to visually reflect the bee’s attendance during the day.Through the analysis of the experimental data, the feasibility and practicality of the system was demonstrated. The outlook for the application value of the system to the beekeeping industry was put forward.
