In this experiment, the Jerusalem artichoke was taken as the research object. The roots were cutting at different time and radius.Through the measure of root diameter, quantity, tuber volume and quantity, root and tuber biomass, and tuber’s soluble sugar, starch, inulin, the effects of different root-cutting times and radius on the underground biomass and its horizontal distribution characteristics of Jerusalem artichoke were discussed. The use of Jerusalem artichoke to provide high-yield cultivation theory. The results show: 1.Root cutting significantly increased the tuber number and tuber volume of Jerusalem artichoke, the maximum quantity and number of tubers appeared at the age of 110 days to remove the 1/2 root; However, root cutting did not show a consistent effect on the length and diameter of the main root, the fibrous roots and rhizomes’ s number and diameter, with the decrease of root cutting radius, the number of fibrous roots and rhizomes gradually increased, the maximum number of fibrous roots and rhizomes appeared at the age of 50 days to remove the 1/2 root, they were 76.66 and 66.33;2.The root-cutting treatment significantly increased the main root biomass, fibrous roots biomass and rhizomes biomass, the total biomass of root was significantly higher than that of the control under different root radius treatments, however, there was no significant difference in root biomass between different root cutting time,The root biomass, rhizome biomass and total biomass of roots were reach the top at 80 days of age when 1/3 roots were removed; The biomass of tuber increased gradually with the increase of root radius, the maximum number appeared at 80 days of age when the roots of 1/2 were removed and reached the 1161g/ strain;3.Root cutting time had a hard significant effect on the biomass of fibrous roots and rhizomes in 16-32 cm and 32-48 cm,the root radius had a hard significant effect on fibrous roots biomass and rhizome biomass in all sampling radius; After root cutting, the fibrous roots and rhizomes of Jerusalem artichoke were still distributed according to the rule of "near and far less",the biomass of 0-16 cm fibrous roots and rhizome was the largest, and the maximum value of fibrous roots biomass and rhizomatous biomass were found at 110 days old when removing 1/5 roots and removing 1/5 roots at 95 days of age;Root cutting increased the biomass of fibrous roots and rhizomes of 16-32 cm,32-48 cm,48-64 cm and 64-80 cm,and had significant difference compared with unbroken roots;4.Root cutting time had a hard significant effect on the biomass of 0-16 cm,16-32 cm,48-64 cm and 64-80 cm tubers, the root radius had a hard significant effect on the biomass of 0-16 cm,16-32 cm and 64-80 cm tubers, the maximum value appeared in 0-16 cm,when the roots were removed 1/3 at 110 days of age;The root cutting time and radius of 0-16 cm and 32-48 cm had a significant effect on the single volume of tuber, and the time and radius of root cutting had a significant influence on the number of tubers in the 0-16 cm range, the maximum number of tubers appeared in 0-16 cm when the roots of 1/2 were removed at 110 days of age,it showed that moderate and severe root cutting was beneficial to increase the tuber yield of Jerusalem artichoke;5.The time of root cutting significantly affected the content of soluble sugar and inulin in the tuber, and at 50 days and 110 days of age, root cutting significantly increased the content of soluble sugar in tubers,at 50 days,80 days,95 days and 110 days, root cutting significantly increased the content of inulin in tubers; The effect of different root cutting time and radius on starch content in tuber was not consistent. The maximum value appeared when 1/3 roots were removed at 80 days of age. |
