The extraction of heartwood of Pterocarpus santalinus and Pterocarpus tinctoricus were analyzed on the gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS)in the study.The results discussed the optimal experimental parameters and credibility of identifying Pterocarpus santalinus and Pterocarpus tinctoricus on GC-MS to develop and supple traditional wood species identification.(1)The best conditions of experiment were CH2Cl2 as extraction solvent,10 min as ultrasonic time,160 W as ultrasonic power,while the temperature of chromatographic test was raised from 80? to 260? and the held on 5min.The total ion chromatograms of Pterocarpus santalinus and Pterocarpus tinctoricus analyzed under the conditions were beneficial for analysis of the late.(2)There were significant differences between the total ion chromatograms of Pterocarpus santalinus and Pterocarpus tinctoricus.The main retention times of Pterocarpus santalinus include 7.56 min,7.66 min,9.19 min,9.79 min and 19.48 min.The main retention times of Pterocarpus tinctoricus are 7.66 min,16.76 min and 19.58 min.In addition,the total ion chromatograms of Pterocarpus santalinus and Pterocarpus tinctoricus exist same retention times including 7.93min?8.09min?9.53min?12.89 min.(3)The results of matching main peak of the total ion chromatogram and the standard library are as follows.In the total ion chromatogram of Pterocarpus santalinus,peak of 7.56 min representatives 2-(4a-Methyl-8-methylenedecahydro-2-naphthalenyl)-2-propanol(10.26%),peak of 9.19 min representatives Tricyclo[4.4.0.0(2,7)]dec-8-ene-3-methanol,à,à6,8-tetramethyl-,stereoisomer(36.93%)?the peak of 9.79 min representatives 3,5,9-Trimethyl-deca-2,4,8-trien-1-ol(7.39%)?the peak of 16.76 min representatives 2,2'-Methylenebis(6-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol)(95.34%),the peak of 19.48 min representatives 1-Phenyl-3,6-diazahomoadamantan-9-one hydrazine(26.21%)?In the total ion chromatogram of Pterocarpus tinctoricus,peak of 7.66 min representatives 6-Methyl-2-(4-methyl-3-cyclohexen-1-yl)-5-hepten-2-ol(67.94%),the peak of 9.53 min representatives Hexadecanoic acid(48.00%),the peak of 16.76 min representatives 2,2'-Methylenebis(6-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol)(95.81%),the peak of 16.76 min representatives 1-Pheny-3,6-diazahomdamantan-9-one hydrazine(29.46%).(4)The drying process of furniture production had no effect on wood extractives compound component but part of extract evaporated because of the high temperature during drying.The peak shape of the total ion chromatogram was not affected so using GC-MS to identify wood was feasible.(5)Fingerprints of Pterocarpus santalinus and Pterocarpus tinctoricus were established and could be used as comparison chart to distinguish wood by the correlation coefficient.(6)Pterocarpus santalinus and Pterocarpus tinctoricus were classified respectively in PCA projection figures and unknown samples were identified successfully by using of existing project space.
