Preliminary Screening Of Superior Hippophae Rhamnoides L.P Rovenance

Hippophae rhamnoidesL.is an ecological and economic plant which has medicinal,health care,timber and ornamental value,so it has great exploitation and utilization potentiality.In the paper,the seed of Hippophae rhamnoides from 10 natural distribution zone in 5 provinces was collected,and the characteristics of seed and one-year-old seedling were studied,including seed traits,the growth of one-year-old seedling and the content of main medicinal components in the seedling leaves.Finally,the quality of seed and one-year-old seedling was evaluated comprehensively by using subordinate function.The results can provide theory foundations for further development of breeding and the development and utilization of Hippophae rhamnoides L.The main results are as follows:(1)There were very significant variation among the Hippophae rhamnoides provenances seed on the seed traits,the sowing qualities and the content of nutrition components.The average germination percentage was high,which was up to 85%.It was found that the seeds from Long Fenggou and Lao Baigou provenances had highest stability of seed traits.(2)There were very significant variations among the one-year-old Hippophae rhamnoides provenances seedlings on the annual growth of the seedling height,ground diameter and leaf biomass.The seedling height and ground diameter obviously showed ‘S' type growth curve respectively,and monthly growth of one-year-old Hippophae rhamnoides L.provenances seedling was the highest in June.The height annual growth and leaf biomass of Gu Yang provenance seedling was the highest.The ground diameter annual growth of E Tuoke provenance seedling was highest.(3)There were very significant variations among the one-year-old Hippophae rhamnoides provenances seedlings on the photosynthetic rate,transpiration rate and stomatal conductance.It has shown a positive correlation between the net photosynthetic rate of seedlings and elevation of origin.The intercellular CO2 concentration was significantly positively correlated with the latitude of origin.(4)There were very significant variations among the one-year-old Hippophae rhamnoides L.provenances seedling on the content and yield of major medicinal components in leaves.But the advent time of content height of major medicinal components is different.The highest levels of flavonoids,Fe and Mg element were in July.The peak of triterpenoids appeared in September and polysaccharide in June.(5)There were no correlation between flavonoids,triterpenes,polysaccharide in one-year-old Hippophae rhamnoides L.provenances seedling leaves and geographical environment factors.There was a negative correlation between the content of Fe element and average annual precipitation of origin.The Mg element was significantly positively correlated with the latitude of origin.(6)As a conclusion,the seed qualities of Long Fenggou and Lao Baigou are the best.And both of Gu Yang and Lao Baigou are the medicinal provenances,which do well in the seedling stage.
