Study On Plant Landscape Of Ming Moat Greenway In Nanjing

This paper is concentrated on the plant landscape of Nanjing ming moat greenway. Plant species composition、community characteristics、Landscape features of the plant community were studied as well as user satisfaction of ming moat greenway, in order to provide basic data for the further optimization of this ecological recreation space where also presents the history and culture of Nanjing.Following is the main results of this paper:1 The space composition of Nanjing ming moatWith the rapid development of modern city,the spatial function reconfiguration for Nanjing old area,as well as the change of urban traffic organization,Nanjing ming moat has been divided into 6 sections,including Jinchuan river and Xuanwu lake, northwest moat, Qinhuai river, south moat,Pipa lake,Qian lake,which develop into green belt and urban park combining with surrounding environment.2 species composition and diversity of Nanjing ming moat greenway59 typical plant communities in the greenway were investigated to analys the species composition,community structure, plant configuration model, landscape characteristic of Nanjing ming moat greenway, the results showed that there were 217 plant species, which belongs to 72 families and 156 genuses. Including 113 native plants which is 52.07 percent of total; A ratio of the species of arbors, shrubs is 1.2:1,the ratio of evergreen trees and deciduous tree species was 1:2.5, and the ratio of the species of evergreen shrubs and deciduous shrubs was 1.3:1, which was basically consistent with the characteristics of the zonal vegetation in Nanjing;Salix babylonica have the highest importance value of tree layer(17.51%),Osmanthus fragrans have the highest importance value of small trees layer(18.43%),Loropetalum chinense var.rubrum have the highest importance value of shrub layer(14.01%). Analysis of plant diversity index showed that the average species abundance degree of trees layer,small tree layer and shrub layer in sample communities was 3.00,the average Simpson index was 0.8903,the average Shannon-Weiner index was2.7297,the average Pielou index was 0.7029. It showed that the plant species and quantity of northwest moat greenway is higher,but the distribution uniformity is poor, species and quantity of small trees layer and shrub layer is low.3 Landscape features of Nanjing ming moat greenwayStudy on plant landscape of Nanjing ming city moat greenway showed that plants are arranged in natural way as well as regular way;The plant community types were rich,the structure of plant community was clear,and the seasonal variation was obvious.The plant community integrated the plant landscape with local history and culture organically.The community structure varied in horizonial direction,while the plant landscape varied rhythmically in longitudinal direction.However, the aquatic plants were not widely used,and winter landscape is poor.4 Study on landscape evaluation of Nanjing ming moat greenwayIt showed that the differences of the users,usage needs,satisfaction among the typical Sections were not significant, middleaged and elderly people were the main users,accounted for 56%,exercise, recreation and walks were the main requirement, the degree of satisfaction to air quality,historical sites is relatively high,while the satisfaction of water quality,sports equipment, signs system is relatively low.And then try to discuss existing problems and give optimum suggestion of Nanjing ming moat greenway from the users’ view.
