Application Of Ground Cover Creational Patterns Of Rural Greenway In Hainan

As a linear open space, a greenway is a connector linking functional areas like populated areas, parks, nature reserves. Greenways connect various landscape elements,participating in landscape composition in various ways through the application of transportation, aesthetics and resource protection. The traditional rural ground cover creational patterns usually have problems like single plant species, simple forms, and monotonous visual effects and are unable to meet the expected ecological functional requirements. Through the study on the ground cover creational patterns of Hainan rural greenways, this article discusses the relationship between vegetation community structures with the combination of ecology and landscape architecture. It can provide theoretical basis for building rural greenways with stable ecology, beautiful landscape and sustainable development, improve the application level of greenway and greening construction in Hainan. This article will also have positive effects on construction principle, construction operation and maintenance management.This article first introduces the definitions and theoretical basis of greenway, rural tourism and ground cover construction, summarizes the application of ground cover construction in greenway at home and abroad, and introduces the purpose and method of this research.This article then summarizes the concept of rural greenway from the definition of greenway, discussed the plant community compositions, ecological utilities and visual effects of rural greenway.In this article, the ground cover of rural greenway is divided into arbor dominated, shrub dominated, land cover and lawn dominated according to structure and is divided into ecotype, industrial type, cultural type and recreation type according to function. Then this article discusses the functional benefits of the plant community composition of these types.By case analysis on Bamenwan Greenway in Wenchang and Xinglong National Greenway in Wanning, this article discusses the practical operation and application effect of ground cover patterns on rural greenway construction, summarizes the construction principles of rural greenway plant community such as ecological protection, low cost, low maintenance, people-oriented, change and unity, concludes applicable ground cover creational patterns in Hainan. Then it further analyzes the present situation and problems on ground cover creational patterns of rural greenway in Hainan and finally gives some optimization suggestions to solve the problems.
