Safflower is widely cultivated in Xinjiang province of China.At present,the safflower harvesting is mainly by artificial picking.In order to realize the mechanical harvesting of safflower,a comb-tooth type safflower picking device has been proposed in the paper based on the present situation and background of domestic and foreign research.And the following research and summary are carried out for the comb-toothed safflower picking device.The characteristics of safflower plant is analyzed and studied in this paper.The results show that the overall height of the plant is 1068.6mm.The average value of primary branch number is 8.9,and the average value of secondary branch number is 14.7.The height characteristics of the plant determine that the picking height range should be in 900-1200 mm.This also provides a theoretical basis for the future mechanical harvest.It is learned that the water content of safflower filament decreases with the number of days of flowering by analyzing the characteristics of safflower fruit bulb and filament material.And after the sixth day of flowering,the safflower filament water content will stabilize at 22.6%.And it is found that the difference of tensile strength distribution is the guarantee of mechanized harvesting of safflower filament by analyzing the separation force of filament and fruit ball,the separation force of achenes and branches,and the separation of branch and main stem.The virtual simulation technology is applied to the design of the safflower filament picking machine by analyzing the pattern of safflower planting in Xinjiang,and the three-dimensional model of the safflower picking machine has been established.The variance analysis of the orthogonal tests of various factors shows that the number of filaments root and the water content of filaments have a great influence on the drawing force by using the new method of complex pole difference of the DPS software.The influence rate of the root number of comb-clamp filament is the most.The kinematic model of clamping mechanism has been established by using analytic method to design the cam contour.And the motion simulation of cam design is carried out.The simulation of cam and moving axle matching movement is realized by using UG simulation software,and the displacement result is coincident with the theoretical clamping value of 3mm.And the designed cam can meet the working conditions and the displacement curve changes periodically,which proves that the design process is reasonable and reliable.The three-dimensional modeling and assembling of safflower filament harvesting device by software can save a lot of time for the design and manufacture of physical prototype.The comb tooth and the dynamic shaft of the safflower picking machine is designed,and the static stress analysis is carried out.It is proved that the design mechanism is reasonable and the material selection is correct,which can meet the drawing work requirement.The acceleration image of the moving shaft is obtained during the analysis.All cam processing methods is compared in the paper and the common materials of cam and its heat treatment methods is summarized.Then the process of the initial processing of the space cam is determined and the improved cam is designed and processed.And the prototype test is carried out.The accuracy of cam design trajectory and the wear resistance of cam are verified.
