| Closing hillsides to facilitate afforestation is a technical means of low cost, fast greening, earlier period of using, faster results bring, beneficial to protect species resources and reducing the number of forest diseases and insect pests, there is a huge impact in protecting the environment, protecting the resources of the species, and ecological balance.Closing hillsides to facilitate afforestation In Gansu Longdong area, corresponding to the important instructions on ecological progress of General Secretary XI Jinping, and being in agreement with current strategic deployment of Pingliang city-to create a national eco-tourism demonstration area and national forest-covered city. After the project,it can effectively improve the ecological environment, restore forest vegetation, expand forest resources, increase the forest coverage rate and have practical significance to ecological balance, strengthen the function of local ecological protection in Longdong area. This paper is based on the above background, according to relevant data, after conducting fact finding in two pieces of tested field No.1 and No.2,measuring and investigating the vegetation growth, type of variation, change of litter before and after, calculating the test field expected carbon sink and investment of artificial afforestation and facilitating afforestation, after comprehensive analysis assessment of application of Biology, effect of carbon sequestration, economic and social benefits of closing hillsides to facilitate of afforestation in Longdong area, draw the following conclusions:(1)Based on biology, closing hillsides to facilitate afforestation increased the vegetation growth in the tested field,in two pieces of tested field, the number of trees increased by 33.33%and 66.7% respectively;the number of shrubs increased by 3.4 times and 17.65% respectively;accumulation increased by 12m3/hm2 and 9.13m3/hm2 respectively;coverage of shrubs increased by 9.7 times and 21.62% respectively;coverage of grass increased by 1.03 times and 50%respectively;the type of trees increased by 1 times and 50% respectively;the type of shrubs increased by 50% of them all;the type of grass increased by 60% and 66.67% respectively and the weight of litter increased by 59.58% and 46.69% respectively.Closing hillsides to facilitateafforestation effectively increased the vegetation growth, the accumulation of biomass and the coverage of vegetation.(2)Based on the effect of carbon sequestration, closing hillsides to facilitate afforestation effectively protected the ecosystem, promoted the updating and growth of vegetation, after 5 years of closing afforestation, accumulation of 15 samples in tested field No.1 increased by 0.18 m3 and accumulation of 15 samples in tested field No.2 increased by 0.14 m3,The average annual growth is 0.036m3/a and 0.028m3/a respectively, assuming on the basis of this growth rate, adopting shadow pricing, evaluating the economic value of carbon exchange by 104.84 yuan per ton, when the vegetation biomass in tested field No.1 and No.2 tend to be stable,It is estimated that the economic value of the carbon exchange can be made up of 12.01 million yuan and 14.94 million yuan respectively.(3)Based on economic benefits, assuming that implementing artificial afforestation in the two test fields, comparing the cost of closing hillsides to facilitate afforestation and artificial afforestation,it costed more 0.2177 million yuan than closing hillsides to facilitate afforestation in tested field No.1,artificial afforestation costed 8900yuan/hm2,meanwhile closing hillsides to facilitate afforestation costed 1200 yuan/hm2;at the same time, artificial afforestation costed more0.2262 million yuan/hm2 than closing hillsides to facilitate afforestation in tested field No.2,artificial afforestation costed 6400 yuan/hm2,meanwhile closing hillsides to facilitate afforestation costed 1210 yuan/hm2.So the conclusion is that closing hillsides to facilitate afforestation is one in six cost of artificial afforestation, the amount of man-hours required to carry out artificial afforestation is 30 times the amount of time required to carry out closing hillsides to facilitate afforestation. |
