As one of the main edible beans,faba bean plays an important role in the legume crops of the world.With the increase of people's consumption demand,faba bean which listed in advance is also increasing.Vernalization is an preferred technology to make faba bean listed in advance,increase economic efficiency.lt has gradually been applied to the production of faba bean.But there is lack of research on the breeding of vernalization varieties of faba bean and the situation of different treatments on the vernalization response.Therefore,this study started from two aspects of growth form and physiology and biochemistry.The paper discussed the the difference of growth form when different varieties of beans after vernalization and the differences of physiological and biochemical when different varieties after different vernalization treatment.Through the study of faba bean in the vermalization process,we understang more about the principle of Vernalization of Vicia faba and improve the success rate of Vernalization in Vicia faba,also to screen suitable varieties of faba bean for the local area of Jiangsu.This study screened 50 different varieties of faba bean from different areas.By comparison of morphological differences between vernalization and the control group after planting and the time of flowering,we selected 30 varieties.Vernalization and a comparison group of 30 varieties were cultivatied in greenhouse.The growth form,bud stage,bud period,flowering period and the pod stage were recorded.Above the resurts,6 varieties of faba beans were screened out.Six varieties of faba bean which are suitable for planting in Jiangsu were processed by seed vernalization,bud vernalization of 8days,12days and 16days.Protective enzyme activity,MDA and physiological index of soluble protein were measured under the different treatment.Six varieties of the faba bean which had divided in vernalization and non-vemalization were measured and mapped of their activity curves In the process of their growth.The main results are as follows:1.Vernalization can advance bud stage,bud period,flowering period and the pod stage.The same variety had obvious effects but there is no significant regional difference in the comparison among different regions.The same treatment in the faba bean of Yunnan,Jiangsu,Sichuan in the growth potential and growth period have the advantage,so the faba beans of these areas can be considered as varietyies of cultivation.From the point of the physiological and biochemical indexes after vernalization,The best effect of faba bean is seedling vernalization.However,it requires larger facilities,processing is more complex,the difficulty in the production of practice also increased accordingly.2.Autumn-sown faba bean mainly comes from the north and they are sensitive to low degree of vernalization.Springness faba bean mainly comes from the south,they are sensitive to vernalization and also suitable for Jiangsu area.Initial colonization,vernalization treatment plants is less than non vernalization in plant height and branch number,but they are gradually getting close in late growth stage.The flowering time of plant vernalization is ahead of 10-60 days than non vernalization.According to the length of time in advance,YunNan Gabashan gadadou,QiDong Daqingpi,Yancheng Lvpicandou are preliminarily screened for Jiangsu area.3.In this experiment,The optimum vernalization time of most varieties of broad bean is about 8 days,not more than 12 days,because of the resistance of different varieties of temperature,the results cannot be generalized.After vernalization,Protective enzyme activity can be significantly improved.SOD and POD activity is higher in seedling vernalization and vernalization 8days,The content of MDA gradually increased with vernalization time.After planting,the vermalized plants have higher SOD activity,Between 20-25 days,the physiological activity of the plant reached its peak value but protein and MDA content reached a low value.POD was higher in the flowering time,and the SOD was decreased before anthesis and increased after anthesis.
