Research On The Bamboo Material Used In The Exhibition Design

Material is the basic problem that must be faced in the design process.Under the current green,low-carbon and environment-friendly requirement,bamboo is a kind of environment-friendly building material.Because of its low price,being fast in construction and convenient demolition,bamboo endues people with original natural feelings,and gradually becomes the favorite material for the designers.The characteristics of bamboo make it a common material in the world expositions.The theme of this paper is on the application of bamboo in the exhibition design.This paper starts from the research of bamboo itself to analyze the bamboo processing technology and design approach,and its use in the exhibition building from the points of view of bamboo "material",bamboo "feeling",bamboo "scene" and bamboo "situation".In the first chapter,the bamboo "material" mainly discusses the artistic characteristics of bamboo aesthetics by analyzing bamboo point(circle),bamboo line,bamboo surface,bamboo body(space)respectively.In the second chapter,bamboo "feeling" mainly explains the expression of bamboo complex in the exhibition design,the concrete application of bamboo and the Chinese bamboo culture complex reflected by the abstract application of bamboo.In the third chapter,bamboo "scene" mainly explains from the perspective of the exhibition design to show the way the bamboo landscaping and the characteristics of scene-changing of bamboo.In the fourth chapter,bamboo "situation" is one way to create a sense of artistic conception for the bamboo in the exhibition space,which constitutes of two sections: bamboo description situation and bamboo expression situation.The third case is a display design for the graduation project,with the exhibition theme: Art goes with technology,and the main material for exhibition is bamboo.The idea is to build a free display space with bamboo fit for the exhibition theme.The interior exhibits are crossover graduation design works under the joint efforts of China Academy of Art and University of Science and Technology of China.The focus of this cross-border cooperation project is: health,transportation and environment with the purpose to solve some of the social problems faced in these three areas.My team chooses health as the direction and the designed product is: Health-flower Heart rate monitoring visualization product which is a complete process from product design to exhibition planning,and from exhibition design to construction.
