Bamboo is a kind of valuable cash crop while the difficult problem of bamboo root left remains to be done.According to market survey,there is no material object of the bamboo root excavator in market and the related research mostly stay in the laboratory stage at home and abroad.So this paper mainly focus on this problem and the relevant experiments are carried out.Firstly the intention and influence factors of the adoption of bamboo root excavator are discussed and studied through questionnaire where the data are analyzed by SPSS software.We also used the binary Logistic model to study and analyze the willingness of farmers to adopt bamboo root excavator;The size of several common bamboo was investigated and the composition of soil was analyzed,which can be regarded as a prospective research for bamboo root excavator design and promotion demonstration.The power source for the machine was also been chosen.In the field testing,the ring cutting method was determined as the final mining method after comparing different mining methods(crushing,sawing and ring cutting)of the three machines.Secondly reading related reference and sorting out relevant data,the modeling and design of bamboo root excavator including determination of mining mechanism,the determination of transfer mode,the design of circular cutting cylinder,the selection of blade,etc.are carried out by using Solidworks software.The establishment of the mathematical model and the optimum design of the reducer were operated by MATLAB software.ANSYS was used to verify the safety of actuator,which was processed into a prototype.In the end,further optimum design work is based on the problem appearing in the trial of the first generation prototype,which mainly included the reselection of power resource,the optimum of the size and structure of circular cylinder,enhancement in the shape and distribution of the blade.Comparing with the first generation prototype,the mining efficiency increases from 6 minutes per root to 0.5 minute per root,whose capacity in soil removal is greatly enhanced,which basically meets the design requirements.Three important bamboo grove producing region,including Chun'an,Lin'an,Fuyang county Zhejiang province selected by us were on trial,so that it can have a radiation impact on the surrounding areas and enhance the promotion of bamboo root excavator.In terms of the prototype test and its effects of promotion trial,it can effectively dig out the bamboo root in a certain diameter range,which can alleviate the labor intensity of the forest workers and have an active effect on the economic and ecological benefits of the bamboo forest...
