As a function of adjusting the water level and controlling the flow of water, the sluice has the dual functions of retaining water and discharging water. It plays the role of flood prevention and drainage(blocking tide),irrigation water supply, water resources regulation and water environment improvement. And also one important infrastructure of reducing natural disasters, protecting economic and social development, people's lives and property. It is an important part of our countries water conservancy project system.Up to now, there are more than 7000 large and medium-sized sluices, most of which were built in the 1950 s and 1970 s.Due to the economic and technical conditions, low construction standards, poor construction quality and long-term operation, some of the sluices are aging and disrepairing seriously, affecting the normal functions of flood control, drainage, tide and water diversion,it's urgent need for reinforcement. In this paper, the design and research of the reinforcement scheme of the sluice gate of Jiefang sluice in Liaohe irrigation area of Jiangxi province is taken as an example.Mainly includes the following four aspects:1?Through the inspection of the sluice gate and the checking of hydraulic structure, the problems of the Jiefang dam are analyzed and summarized;2?In view of the existing problems of the Jiefang dam,the feasibility of the different reinforcement schemes of the Jiefang dam is studied and the reinforcement scheme is determined;3?Reinforcement design for the program;4?Analysis of reinforcement effect and investment situation, summarize the effectiveness and experience of reinforcement effect.
