This research studied on the difference in the expression of Ligustrum vicaryi and Ligustrum ovalifolium leaf colors.we observed Ligustrum vicaryi and Ligustrum ovalifolium leaf colors in different seasons,We determined of pigment content in leaves of different age,different growth positions and different leaf colors,at the same time,diurnal variation of photosynthetic physiological index,the relationship between main photosynthetic parameters and environmental factors,light oxidation process,absorption spectra and other indicators were measured.We had mastered the leaf color characteristics and mechanism about Ligustrum vicaryi and Ligustrum ovalifolium with the variation of time and self position,in order to provide theoretical reference for the cultivation and production,meanwhile,achieved the purpose of fast growing and high quality so that it could get a better application in the garden plant configuration,and contribute to the improvement and beautification of the city environment.Through studying the variation of leaf colors and photosynthetic pigment contents,we found that varying with leaf ages and seasonal changes,the leaves of Ligustrum vicaryi appeared yellow,yellow green,green color,.And the leaves of Ligustrum ovalifolium showed green(green,dark green and ink green).It was certificated to be one of the important reasons why the new leaves and outer leaves show yellow or white that the chlorophyll a,chlorophyll b,carotene content in leaves of Ligustrum vicaryi were significantly lower than that of Ligustrum ovalifolium,and carrot element content is relatively high in leaves of Ligustrum vicaryi.It was the second reason that carotenoid is more stable than chlorophyll in Ligustrum vicaryi leaves in bright light.The leaves of Ligustrum ovalifolium had stronger shade tolerance and higher efficiency ratio about scattering light than the leaves of Ligustrum vicaryi.However,the leaves of Ligustrum vicaryi had stronger ability of light energy conversion than the leaves of Ligustrum ovalifolium.According to the above biological characteristics,we could plant more reasonably.Though the analysis of photosynthetic parameter showed that Pn,Tr and Gs were in the same changingtrend with the double peak curve,However,Ci was opposite to that change trend.Through comparison of photosynthetic efficiency,we found that the Ligustrum vicaryi was higher than Ligustrum ovalifolium,the new leaf was higher than old leaf in Ligustrum vicaryi,outer was higher than chamber in Ligustrum vicary.The two species of Ligustrum stomatal conductance and transpiration rate performed that the new leaves were higher than the old leaves,the outer was higher than chamber.We separated the main kinds of pigments from Ligustrum vicaryi and Ligustrum ovalifolium,reaching agreement with absorption spectral identification results,which was: pheophytin a,xanthophylls and chlorophyll a,chlorophyll b.Carotenoids was more stable than chlorophyll in Ligustrum vicaryi.At the same time,the Carotenoids of Ligustrum vicaryi was not easy to be light decomposition.The leaf chlorophyll of Ligustrum vicaryi had poor stability than Ligustrum ovalifolium in the same age and the same location.Four kinds photosynthetic pigment absorption spectra of Ligustrum vicaryi and Ligustrum ovalifolium appeared that weak Q band and strong Soret absorption,according to the absorption characteristics of porphyrin compounds.In the same ribbon,Ligustrum vicaryi absorption peak was significantly lower than the absorption peak of Ligustrum ovalifolium in the blue light zone,two species of Ligustrum absorption peak was close in the red light district,exception of chlorophyll b.The other three pigment absorption peaks in the red light district of Ligustrum vicaryi were lower than that of Ligustrum ovalifolium.
