The aim of this experiment was to explore application effects of yeast culture(YC)in finishing pigs.120 weighting 60 kg healthy,three-way crossbred(Duroc×Landrace×Yorkshire)finishing pigs were selected and randomly divided into four groups:the control group, the group 1,2 and 3,30 pigs in each group with 15 pigs per repeat. The control group pigs were fed to basal diet;the group 1 pigs were fed to basal diet supplemented 4% YC;the group 2 pigs were fed to basal diet substituted 4% YC for1% soybean meal and 3% corn;the group 3 pigs were fed to the current diet of this pig farm. The feeding experimental period was 60 d.The feeding experimental results were as follows:1)ADG of the group 1,2 and 3 pigs increased respectively by 11.84%(P<0.05),9.08%(P<0.05)and 2.63% compared with the control group pigs.FCR of the group 1,2 increased by 1.32%(P>0.05),0.77%(P>0.05)compared with the control group, but FCR of the group 3 decreased by 0.93%(P>0.05)compared with the control group.2)The glucose in the group 1,3 pig serum increased by 41.96%(P<0.01),26.27%(P<0.01)compared with the control group.GPT activities in the group 1,3 pig serum decreased respectively by 15.05%(P<0.01),14.58%(P<0.01)compared with the control group.GOT activities in the group 1,2 and 3 pig serum decreased respectively by21.13%(P<0.01),10.41%(P<0.01),22.75%(P<0.01)compared with the control group.TP in the group 3 pig serum increased by 5.80%(P<0.01)compared with the control group.UN in the group 1 pig serum decreased by 5.49%(P < 0.05)compared with the control group, but UN in the group 2 pig serum increased by 6.56%(P<0.05),and UN in the group 3 pig serum increased by 10.04%(P<0.01).T-AOC power in the group 1 and 3 pig serum increased by 17.21%(P<0.01),11.69%(P<0.01)compared with the control group.T-SOD activities in the group 1 pig serum increased by3.04%(P>0.05)compared with the control group.MDA in the group 1 pig serum decreased by 8.72%(P<0.05)compared with the control group.3)The p H of the group1 pig longissimust after 24 hours increased by 0.52%(P>0.05)compared with the control group.T-SOD activities in the group 1 pig longissimus and liver increased by 23.58%(P<0.05),6.23%(P<0.05)compared with the control group.MDA of the group 1pig longissimus and liver decreased by 0.32%(P>0.05),6.03%(P<0.05)compared with the control group. The drip loss of the group 1 pig longissimus decreased by 44.41%(P<0.01)compared with the control group. The luminance(L*)of the group 1 pig longissimus increased by 3.57%(P<0.05)compared with the control group.Based on the results of this experiment,it can be inferred that:1)Yeast culture can promote the growth rate to some extent in fattening pigs, and the FCR can be improved.2)Yeast culture can improve the nutrition metabolism, the stability of tissue cells and antioxidant capacity in fattening pigs.3)Yeast culture can also improve nutritional valuein some degree.
