To improve microbial properties of tobacco soil in purple dry land and increase the quality and yield of flue-cured tobacco, developing high quality tobacco provided with local style, therefore, the effects of different organic materials on microbial properties and yield and quality of flue-cured tobacco were discussed by four treatments( T1:only inorganic fertilizer; T2: commercial organic fertilizer; T3: add charcoal based on T1; T4: charcoal and bio-organic fertilizer). Following are the main results:1. Application of different kinds of organic materials improved the accumulation of flue-cured tobacco fresh dry weight in two stage between before rosette and after vigorous, in the course of rosette to flourishing growth stage, the most obvious method for the growth of tobacco is non-organic fertilizer. But for the whole growth period, organic material had a positive role in improving fresh dry weight of tobacco.2. Application of different kinds of organic materials were effective not only to extend upper leaves area but also to increase effective leaves, it could lay a solid foundation for high yield flue-cured tobacco. While, treatment had the best effect was T4, T2 taken second place, the worst was T3. However, the effects of the three treatments to extend upper leaves area and increase effective leaves were better than T1.3. Application of different kinds of organic materials could not only increase the within content of plastid pigment in different degrees but also make great influence on promoting carbon and nitrogen metabolism in tobacco. At the same time, application of organic material could improve comprehensive quality that means maturity and degree of material transformation of tobacco before baking, in addition, it could also decrease chlorophyll content and greenish tobacco after baking, what' more, it could relieve the green miscellaneous and enhance ratio of mid-high grade leaves, and it had a big effect on controlling the amount of “green yellow tobacco”. Compared with control group, application of T2 could make chlorophyll content of upper leaves and lower leaves after baking reducing by 12.24% and 19.06% respectively. Application of T4 could make carotenoid content of upper leaves after baking improving 9.08%. Application of T2 could make carotenoid content of middle leaves after baking improving 20.82%.4. Application of organic material could increase microbial population of tobacco-planting soil in different degrees and enrich soil ecosystem biodiversity, and that it could promote the use of each carbon source for soil microorganism. In the meantime, it could also make a great influence on improving enzyme activity of soil and strengthening physiological metabolic activity of root system, enhancing soil fertility and maintaining virtuous circle of tobacco-planting soil micro-ecosystem.5. Application of organic material could decrease markedly nicotine content in tobacco after baking, improving the content of total sugar and reducing sugar in different degree, in the meantime, it can better coordinate the sugar-nicotine ratio and ratio of potassium to chlorine, what's more, it had obvious effect on improving smoking quality and combustibility of pipe tobacco, but there was no significant effect on enhancing the content of total sugar and reducing sugar in upper leaves by the application of charcoal. As for nicotine content, the most significant of the improvement effect is T4. Compared with control group T1, application of T4 could make nicotine content of upper leaves and middle leaves after baking reducing by 23.25% and 55.50% respectively. As for total sugar, compared with control group T1, application of T2 could make total sugar content of middle leaves improving 15.29%. Application of T4 could make total sugar content of upper leaves improving 11.85%.6. Application of organic material could increase yield and output value and the proportion of superior tobacco in different degrees. Compared with control group T1, treatment of T2, T3, T4 improved the yield in the degree of 20.00%, 8.79% and 29.30% respectively, of which T2 had the best effect on improving yield of flue-cured tobacco, however, the most important treatment for increase output value and the proportion of superior tobacco was T4.
