The production of artificial seeds is helpful for updating the reproduction of whipgrass(Hemarthria compressa).On the basis of established regeneration system,the production technology of whipgrass artificial seed was studied which calcium alginate ball was used as embedding medium in the experiment.In order to seek out a new reproduction method of whipgrass inthe experiment,by using "Ya'an" whipgrass fresh internode segments with buds and embryoid induced by younger leaves as propagule,the best recipe of seed capsule was studied and analyzed,including substrates,growth regulators and additives,and then the storage and germination conditions was explored.The results were as follows:1.To artificial seed of whipgrass internodes and embryoid,3%sodium alginate combined with MS solcent was the best recipe of seed capsule.Artificial seed embedded by this recipe,was grains,spherical,moderate hardness,transparent and flexible,and the nutrients is not easy to leak after cultured.And the germination rates of the two kinds of artificial seed were the highest,and were 56.67%and 28.33%respectively.The germination rate of artificial seed derived from fresh internodes with buds in September was the highest that picked.2.Some growth regulators could improve the germination rate of artificial seeds significantly.The influence for artificial seeds germination rate about three kinds of growth regulator was:NAA>6-BA>GA3.0.2 mg/L NAA + 1 mg/L6-BA +0.10 mg/L GA3 was more appropriate growth regulator combination for two kinds of artificial seed,and germination rates were 91.67%and 70.00%respectively.Moreover,the increase of germination rate about two kinds propagules was:embryoid>internode.3.Some additives could not only improve the germination rate of two kinds of artificial seeds and reduce pollution rate significantly,but also could improve the synchronization of embryoid artificial seed germination effectively.0.2%carbendazim +0.02 mg/L penicillin as the best additive for internode artificial seed,germination rate was the highest which reached to 96.67%,and the pollution rate was the lowest,only 5.00%;0.2%sodium benzoate + 0.2%carbendazim + 0.5%chitosan + 2%CaCl2+0.02 mg/L of penicillin as the best additive combination for embryo id artificial seed,germination rate was the highest,which was 93.33%.When 0.2%carbendazim + 0.02 mg/L penicillin were used together,pollution rate of embryoid artificial seed was the lowest,which was only 3.33%.4.On 4? condition,storage effect was better than on 25? condition.With the increase in storage days,the nutrients filtration rates of two kinds of artificial seed increased significantly.After 60d storage,the nutrients filtration rates of artificial seed were 85.33%and 68.75%,respectively,and they lost all the water and become dark and hard.5.After storage,germination rate of two artificial seed on natural conditions was lower than on the artificial condition,but difference was not significant(P>0.05).After 60d stored,the germination rates of two kinds of artificial seed went down to 0.00%.On the same storage conditions,the germination rate of intemode artificial seed was lower than embryoid artificial seed.
