Study On Team Situational Awarness In Civil Aviation Cockpit

At present,civil aviation industry is developing rapidly in China,but aviation safety is still important.The historical data shows that a lot of aviation accidents and incidents were caused by poor or deficient team situational awareness in cockpit.During the flight,the environment is changing rapidly and there is a great deal ofinformation to be processed.The flight mission is accomplished by two pilots at least who cooperate with each other.In order to effectively respond to various emergencies and improve the flight safety level,it is more important to have good team situational awareness.Therefore,it is necessary to study the team situational awareness in cockpits in order to explore its disciplinarian.On the base of relative research and files,this study summarized and analyzed the basic concepts of the team situational awareness in civil aviation cockpit.A mechanism model was establishedfor team situational awareness in cockpit.The model clearly indicates that it includes three indicators:individual situational awareness,total situational awareness,and shared situational awareness.Based on the Mutual Belief Model as the theoretical basis and combined with flight-related knowledge,this study compiled 4 questionnaires to measure the team situational awareness in cockpit through perception,understanding and prediction.With a pause measurement method,this study used a mixed design of 2(complete information and incomplete information)*2(communication and non-communication)to explore the influence of information and communication on individual situational awareness,total situational awareness,and shared situational awareness in the simulating flight scenes.Considering the different characters of pilots,the study further analyzed the relationship between the character matching of pilots and the team situational awareness in cockpit,as well as between their team situational awareness and safety performance.Through the analysis of the experimental data,it is obtained that:1)Information and communication have a significant impact on the individual situational awareness,shared situational awareness,and total situational awareness.The communication ofcrew and the timely transmission of their own information are helpful to improve the team situational awareness in cockpit;2)There is a significant positive correlation between individual situational awareness and total situational awareness,shared situational awareness.When the individual situational awareness increases,the total situational awareness and shared situational awareness also increase;3)The character combination of crew has significant effects on individual situational awareness,total situational awareness,and shared situational awareness.There are significant differences in team situational awareness of different character combinations;4)There is a significant positive correlation between individual situational awareness,total situational awareness,shared situational awareness and safety performance.And there is a non-linear function relation between them.Based on the analysis result mentioned above,this study analyzes the factors that influence the team situational awareness of cockpit,and gives some suggestions to cultivate and improve the team situation consciousness.Besides,new ideas are proposed for pilot selection and training.
