Road congestion,air pollution and other problems have arose in recent years due to the accelerated development of cities and people's living standard in China and the surge in the number of traditional fuel vehicles.The pollution-free tram is popular in more and more cities.Catenary-free technology has made great progress in order to balance contradiction between the reliable power supply of tram and urban planning,environment,landscape.Tramwave ground-level power supply system has run a mature business as a new catenary-free system which has been the interest of many cities due to its modular design and easy maintenance in operation.Although module of the Tramwave power supply system is easy to disassemble and repair,the fault one can be found only through the traditional dichotomy when the fault occurs,that is,temporarily disconnect the cable in the hand hole and check one by one.The efficiency is very bad and a lot of labor and material resources are wasted.This study is done to develop a fault diagnosis system,which power supply module on the line can be real-time monitored in the TPS through the human-machine interface.When the module of ground power supply system in the actual operation faults,it's location can be quickly and accurately identified by maintenance personnel.That can save a lot of labor and resources,improve the daily maintenance efficiency to ensure the smooth operation of tram.For purpose of the study,a large number of relevant literatures and related research materials have been researched.The system should be matched to the existing equipment of the TPS when used later.After consideration and comparison,the Rockwell Automation Logix platform is chosen to do this subject.In this paper,the hardware design is carried out,1756 series PLC and remote 1738 series communication module are selected.On this basis an experimental platform is built.And then software is designed through RSLogix5000 software.Finally failure of module in the actual operation is simulated through the already-built hardware and software platform to achieve experimental purposes.The feasibility of the fault diagnosis system designed in this paper is verified by the fault simulation test of power supply module.It effectively solves problem which failure module of the TramWave ground power supply system is difficult to be found and checked.Moreover it provides a basis support to the operation and maintenance program for our ground-level power supply system.
