General Design And Research Of Panama Container Vessel

Despite a slowdown in world trade,shipping demand is in the doldrums,but the trend of the global economy development is irreversible.It will still maintain a high level of demand for efficient and clean containerised goods transportation.Container ship maximization is the trend,the larger container vessels have lower single box construction costs and operating costs.21000TEU(Ultra-large container vessel)has emerged on the ultra large container ship market.But in the current world more popular ports,there are still a large number of 4000TEU-5000 TEU class container vessels in operation.After The Panama Canal new locks officially coming in to use,the original Panama cargo ship will no longer be designed and built.But the Panama container ship still plays an important role in the container shipping market.It is still the classic ship form before a new Panama ship form has been developed.This paper begins with the latest domestic and abroad research in the field of container ship design and the newest knowledge and the latest research will be applied to the general design of the classic Panama container ship,in order to attract readers to provide reference with the design of a new type of container ship.Then,taking 4250 TEU container ship as parent ship,the general design,main dimensions,ship type demonstration and lines design of Panama ultimate type 5100 TEU class container ship are studied.This chapter focuses on the study of general arrangement of LNG as fuel in a C-type tank of duel fuel propulsion project and LNG membrane tank of LNG propulsion project,discusses the methods and advantages of concept design of LNG fuel tank used in Panama container ship,green design and energy saving device are researched at the end of this chapterFinally,the intact stability of conventional design project and the two new propulsion project are studied.Intact Stability is the essential problems that needs to be focused on in the Panama container vessel project design,the capacity and layout of bottom ballast water tank and side ballast water tank needs to be paid attention to.
