As a combination of science and technology, after a long development and evolution,ARCGIS has been widely recognized and applied in many fields, such as ecology, landscape architecture and so on,and has played a great role in economic and social benefits.Terrain design is the basis of landscape architecture planning and design. The site status data are collected quickly, classified rationally, the hidden information is deeply mined, the elevation data is accurately calculated and analyzed, and the expected effect is displayed and evaluated. Is the present stage landscape architect essential skill. The traditional topographic data collection mainly depends on the field artificial surveying and reference, which not only has a large workload, but also can not guarantee the accuracy of the data.ARCGIS is a system software which integrates data collection, vector analysis and effect expression. It can quickly and accurately collect the information needed for terrain analysis, and classify and calculate the obtained information accurately. It provides accurate 3D terrain model, slope and slope direction information for terrain design stage, and provides reliable information for later data query and effect expression. This paper takes Vermilion Bird Mountain National Forest Park as an example and uses ARCGIS as a means to study the landscape landscape design. The conclusion is as follows.1.In the initial stage of terrain design,ARCGIS technology can obtain site information quickly and accurately,at the same time, the potential information of terrain can be excavated, and the slope, slope direction and other information of the site can be quickly and accurately displayed in the form of bitmap.Provide accurate reference information for scheme design.2.At the stage of terrain analysis,ARCGIS can be used for field analysis of any position in the site, and can obtain the area and scope of view field in any direction, and provide theoretical basis for the setting of landscape nodes. In this paper,by analyzing the point A to point F visual field of selected points,it is found that,In the area of land use, there was a negative correlation between the slope of terrain and the area of view in the positive and semi-positive azimuth. In negative and semi-negative areas, the slope of terrain in azimuth was positively correlated with the area of view.Besides,ARCGIS can also quickly and accurately obtain any two points of the profile and vision perspective,to ensure the use of design techniques, such as view, obstacle, and so on.3.In the stage of landscape evaluation,ARCGIS can analyze the terrain slope, terrain slope, spatial perspective, land adaptability, construction land scope, tourist area and other factors to obtain corresponding regional map and area.In this paper, the landscape sensitivity of Vermilion Bird Mountain National Forest Park is evaluated, and by the analysis of the weight superposition function, the four grade maps of landscape sensitivity and the corresponding plane position and area proportion of the landscape sensitivity of Vermilion Bird Mountain National Forest Park are obtained.Respectively.The area of sensitive area of grade?is 4.94 km~2,which accounts for 8.72%of the total planning area;the area of sensitive area of grade?is32.92 km~2,accounting for 58.14%of the total area of planning;the area of sensitive area of grade?is 8.56 km~2,accounting for 15.11%of the total planning area;and the area of class?is 10.2km~2,accounting for 18.03%of the total planning area. The research shows that ArcGIS is convenient, scientific and efficient in landscape landscape design. In the face of large and complex terrain and geomorphology,ARCGIS can quickly and accurately obtain the basic geographic information, and can mine the latent information in the data by classifying and analyzing, which can provide powerful data support for landscape design. This is unparalleled by conventional programming software.
