The V-shaped regulating ball valve is a type of control valve,which is widely used in papermaking,chemical,metallurgy and other industries because of its approximate equal percentage flow characteristics.The V-shaped valve port is a key component of the V-shaped regulating ball valve.The structure of the port has a great influence on the flow characteristics of the valve and the flow state in the valve.Therefore,the study about parameter design of V-shaped valve port and the influences of structural parameters and working parameters on flow characteristics and internal flow field of V-shaped regulating ball valve can provide references for the research and application of it.The article takes the DN50,PN1.6 V-shaped regulating ball valve as the research object.The V-shaped valve port structure and internal flow field of the valve were studied by using methods of theoretical derivation and numerical simulation.The main contents are as follows:(1)The classification and flow characteristics of control valves were briefly introduced.At the same time,the structure and working principle of V-shaped regulating ball valve,its development,and research status of it were introduced.(2)The parameterized design of the V-shaped valve port of the valve was deduced.The approximate formula between the main structural parameters of the port and the flow area was deduced.At the same time,the influence of the V-shaped valve port angle and the distance between the V-shaped valve port and the rotating center on the flow characteristics were analyzed.(3)Using FLUENT simulation software,the turbulence models of the standard?-?,RNG ?-?,Realizable ?-?,and SST ?-? were used to simulate the valve flow model with V-shaped valve port angle of 60°.The speed of convergence of the four turbulence models,the stability of the convergence process and the similarities and differences between the internal pressure field and the velocity field of the valve under the four turbulence models were compared and analyzed.(4)Based on the comparative calculation of different turbulence models,the cavitation phenomenon in the V-shaped regulating ball valve was simulated and forecasted using RNG ?-? turbulence model and Zwart Gerber Belamri cavitation model.Firstly,taking the valve flow model with V-shaped valve port angle of 60°,the influence of operating parameters,namely the differential pressure between the valveinlet and outlet on the cavitation area in the valve and the intensity of cavitation were investigated.Secondly,taking the valve flow models with the angle of 30°and 60°as the research objects,the effect of the V-shaped valve port angle on the cavitation in the valve was studied in the same pressure difference.The differences of the cavitation area and the cavitation intensity of the valve were compared and analyzed.(5)For flow fild simulation of the V-shaped regulating ball valve,secondary development of flow field simulation software FLUENT and pre-processing software ICEM CFD was carried out to design a parameterized simulation platform for V-shaped regulating ball valve flow field.
