Due to rapid urban development of Taiwan cities,The historic district road widening faces the problem whether to keep or remove,and the local cultural movement,the civic groups and experts and scholars begin to pay attention to preservation issues of historic district,called for the protection of the cultural heritage.Since the beginning of 1986 from the Lukang Historic District,the government to invest large amounts of funds and resources for preservation and maintenance work of historic districts in whole Taiwan,to hope that we can achieve the purpose of adaptive re-useWe experienced a quarter-century of efforts,Taipei Dadaocheng region is gradually disappearing from the edge of the city,and once again become the core of the city activities and historic district preservation model.Dadaocheng historic district’s preservation process,Taipei City from the development guidance of city into the attention to historical and cultural,this historical process,become the focus of this project.1977 Ministry of the Interior approved urban planning "change the width of Dihua Street" will be designated as Dihua Street for 20 meters of road.With the original 7.8 meter wide Dihua street protection,this Taipei municipal government of the 20 meter wide road widening project plan is now having a huge conflict,through civic groups(such as: Leshan Cultural Foundation)and experts of appeals and devotion,triggering protection movement in Taiwan to historic district,opening the importance of cultural assets.Overall outlook for the proper protection of Dihua Street area and Dadaocheng regions Dihua Street,Taipei City Government to establish a specific precinct range,in various stages of elaboration propose of different means of urban planning,from the initial 20 meters wide to allow retreat road construction program line after the building,to publish "Dihua Street style controls Interim Measures",the first intake limit was only part of the construction of three-story building,according to the law to allow the construction of a given volume after the second forward,then to the recent elaboration of "Master Plan of Dadaocheng Special-use Zone",the introduction of Transferable Development Rights(TDR)、 regulation of urban design and style reconstruction concept.In this study,forced on the perspective of "review" at the historic district preservation and planning process,and then "review and analyzes" planning and development now,if there is a conflict or burdensome place,which needs to adjust the recommendations for future improvement.First,through collect Dadaocheng historic district preservation background and planning process of literature analysis;then through field investigation review,summarize the conclusion as future reference for the preservation of historic district.
