With a long history,China has numerous cultural heritages.Being advocated the preservation of relics by the government,the protection and exhibition of heritage museums have been fully supported and developed.As a way to preserve and utilize heritages,,the construction of relic museums is restricted and influenced by the government investment cost.Involving a broad diversity of disciplines,the construction of heritage museums needs further studies,practices and improvements,which is of complexity.As a result,it is of great significance to explore and research the project management of the heritage museum.Taking the NH Site Museum project as an example,this paper analyzes the aspects of anti-seepage and cost controls.In this paper,the definition,classifications and characteristics of site museums are firstly introduced,as well as those of heritage sites.After researching of the anti-seepage and cost controls of site museum projects at home and abroad,the author points out that,in the case of NH Site Museum,the emphasis should be put on anti-seepage treatment and the difficulty lies in cost controls.For the anti-seepage treatment of NH Site Museum,referring to the amount of precipitation,the daily average temperature and humidity in Guangzhou,the paper studies the climate,temperature and humidity around and inside the heritage site.With the methods of data and sample analyses,it also investigates factors about the groundwater environment and water seepage.The measures of perimeter drainage and dual waterproof curtains ensure the humidity stability of the burial chamber,helping to preserve NH Site Museum scientifically.For the cost controls,the paper studies the features of every design stage and proves the effectiveness of cost control in design phrase.In the design phrase of NH Site Museum,the theory of value engineering optimized the design plan and saved 987.93 million Yuan which reduced a grand total of 4.95%.The verification of the fully-equipped project indicated the cost fluctuation was within 1.84%.The effectiveness of cost controls was obvious.In the later research,the anti-seepage treatment needs continuous maintenance and monitoring.In terms of cost control,for the protection of cultural relics,cost saving is limited.The construction and installation can be taken into the consideration of cost control and studied in every stage.The project has certain referential value in the aspect of design and management for the similar ones in the future.
