Study On The Space Design Of Plants In Campus Greenbelt

With the rapid development of higher education and soar increase of university students,the society has paid much attention to the construction and usage of campus.Greenbelt in campus has been regarded as an important measurement of evaluating campus image.However,currently,the space design of plants in campus greenbelt mainly focus on the ornamental value of plant,while ignoring the integrity of plant space design.Moreover,studies on users are inadequate.Based on that,the thesis has studied the types and creation of plant space,and the demands of users for greenbelt in campus,by field surveys and data collecting,to solve above problems mentioned Research results are as follows:1.Taking Hunan Agricultural University and Wroc?aw University of Environmental and Life Sciences as example,the thesis have conducted analysis from aspects of the location,function division,types,variation of greenbelt space,and from activities of users,to study the connotation,function and types of greenbelt and activities of users.Results show that,currently,plant space mainly focus on its ornamental value and partial space enjoys a low usage rate,and its cultural value is not prominent.2.Taking to meet the activity demands of users of greenbelt in campus as a starting point,the thesis has analyzed the five types of users,including teachers and students,surrounding residents,visitors and so on,and their behavioral characteristics,based on the principle of security,function and culture.In according to the properties of plant,the relations between plant's height and human beings on the one hand,and space on the other hand,the thesis has put forward methods of plant space creation for different types of users and for different types of spaces,and analyzed its application in greenbelt and feelings of users.It aims at building plant space based on behavioral characteristics of users and their space demands,to break current design trend,emphasizing the function of plant space.3.Taking " Leisure garden"(Yi Yuan)in Hunan Agricultural as example,has been made optimal design in plant space.Currently,the mainly focus of plant space on its ornamental value,while ignoring its activity and private space.Besides,plant space in the borders of Swan Lake revetment and the garden has problems in designing.In accordance with different user's demands and activity types,and functional division,space design ofplants are divided into seven gardens,including Zhiqu garden,Xueying garden,Lingyue garden and others,adding semi-open outdoor fitness space,open lawn space,understory square and other activity spaces,it has turned concrete revetment into natural watery one with aquatic plant,aiming at a multi-functional greenbelt plant integrating security,ornamental value,openness and specific function.Research results can provide theory and practice references for plant space design.Space design of plants is an important carrier for campus greenbelt,and its construction has great significance in promoting its openness,optimizing ecological environment and improving the living standard of teachers and students.
